Scott Riggs solidly in the field, wants more on race dayBy JIM UTTERThe Charlotte ObserverFONTANA, Calif. – This time Scott Riggs left little doubt.Riggs, who failed to qualify for the Nextel Cup Series opener at Daytona in Evernham Motorsports’ new third team, was strong Friday in qualifying for Sunday’s Auto Club 500 at California Speedway.
"We want to come out of here with a solid run. I want to come out of here with a top 10. The team says a top 15, but that won't be satisfactory to me," said Riggs, who starts 14th.
"We're going to take care of the car. We've got a brand-new car we tested at Las Vegas. Hopefully, we can learn a little bit here."

Scott's qualifying run was certainly one of the highlights for me! My hubby and I will be pulling for him, (in addition to Jeremy and OF COURSE, Kasey) during the race today....I hope EMS has a solid finish!

I think it's dumb that people like Scott only cuz he drives for Evernham and cuz he's Kasey's team mate. :unsure:

Actually I'm from Bahama, NC so....I like Scott because of that-not because he's Kasey's teammate, or like other people who just like driver's because they are cute. Plus, the man can drive the heck outta something.

I don't like Scott just because he drives for Evernham or just because he's Kasey's team mate.
