adding a older persons forum (hidden from the public) I just shat myself when I saw in the pictures of yourself thread a 11 yr old. I could be the kid's father. I'd just hate to be the one who steers the youngins in the wrong direction. :lmbo i'm laughin but i'm dead serious too.

Let me say this. As many know I do not agree with a lot of things with the forum. This is suppose to be a family forum and we have fan fics talking about cheating and sex and I know when I was a Admin I added the warning to the fan fic forum so thats helps to a point. We have banners about riding rookies, buring rubbers (and I don't mean tires) and a lot of harsh language, all at free will. There really needs to be a adult forum if thats what this forum wants to do.

This forum has went downhill as far as Family goes. There are young people in this forum and some things they just don't need to hear, read, or look. And some of the sex related banners need to be done away with.

i'm all for the downing of risque sex banners to man. i haven't really seen any that would cross the line but that doesn't mean they are not out there. But I believe this is a credit to the forum that there are adults and we do like to carry on with each other. this forum has become for some as the one forum they choose to post on so we need to accommodate those people and let them have their free will.

I agree, in a way. But, let me add, that if you get too strict, it gets a little.....mundane. I speak from experience here.

another thought came to me.. in no way am I trying to be an elitist and one could pose the arguement that it would take away from the participation in the other forums. i don't believe that it would be the case. I just think it would be nice to have a place to go to and not worry about contributing to the detriment of a young mind as well as get some kid in trouble because he/she left his computer screen on for mom and dad to view. not to say we wouldn't carry ourselves in a respectable manner; i'm just looking out for the kids.

An adults only section might be a good idea. Only saying this because I don't want to be accused of corrupting a minor. I belonged to a graphics forum and had angry parents email me to stop preying on kids. I hadn't realized the majority of the forum was 9-15.

an 18+ part of the board would be a good idea i think..

I don't really think this idea would work. There are some people here who are 18+ that still act like children.

that is so true, i am probably one of those people, but if us immature adults read something or see something that is not so pg13, our parents cant walk in and bust us. that and usually us immature adults dont go on and on about how much they fart, poop, burp or love rascal flatts.

i think i want the forum for more personal, selfish reasons than smokey. he has the right idea...i just added to it. and i think it would work great.

There are times when I'd like to go in and get another adults advice without having a someone pipe in with something ridiculously stupid (i.e. Krissy and Kelly). And so that's why I rarely post stuff like that on the board...I use my Xanga and do it as a protected post, because then I know the people that'll read it are mature and can actually answer the question. Not give me some bullshit : : giggles : : or stuff like that.

i'm 100% percent behind you on needing adult advice.. but let's refrain from throwing people under the bus.

It was one of those frustrating, confusing weeks both personally and professionally for me. I'll try not to throw any more people under a bus. Or a Freightliner.

Alina, I agree. Those are reasons I would enjoy an 18+ forum as well.

The rest of the forum should stay as is though. I think if the rules are too strict, it will take away from the board.

cause as an admin, there is a lot of crap that I have to deal with and this forum would be another, that I'd have to hear some people bitch about cause they aren't allowed in it and such.

If an adult forum was to be added........it would have to just be for general life stuff, I don't want it to be "talking about others and talking about racing stuff that could be talked about on the regular board"

It's something I'd def like to think about and have suggestions put out there about....

I don't mind having one, if it can be handled properly and not be meant to upset others.

But hey thats JMO, no big deal. Sure Im steping on toes, and Im sorry but I also have the right to express my thoughts even if they could be wrong. A lot of people are scared to speak there mind. I guess what is really ticking me off is that when I made the Raizing Kahne Forum, I built the forum to be a fan, and family friendly forum. I knew that there would be a lot of young girls that would want to support him cause of his looks and driving skills. I knew there would be some from 13 years old on up. After the merge the forum went well, and I left the Admin spot to do KahnesKorner.com. After that the forum has went away from my hopes.

Now let me say this...I think Christy has done a hell of a great job with this forum and there could be no better person yo run it, but when you have a big forum like this, plus a life, plus the scrapbook, plus a job, its hard to meet all the needs. Thats why I belive that one Admin can not do this all by there self. And even with the Mods of the forum it can't help if the mods will not step on a few toes and stick with the rules.

There is nothing wrong with the forum IMO execpt some of the rules are being treated like crap, and like I said, Christy can not do everything by herself with the time she has to spend elsewhere.

This forum needs someone else to help her and a few mods that will step on feet and stick with the rules and goals of the forum. I think most Mods here are great and do a good job, but a lot is letting the rules slip. I have asked to be added as a Admin or Mod once again like I use to be before I left to do the website. Not to do it so I can be a butthole, thats not what I want. I want it to help Christy, but the image of this forum is looking a lot diffrent and we have lost great members of this forum because of it.

I think that people can express there feelings, and have fun. Thats what the forum is about, I know. But just like America, its a free country, but you have rules to keep you safe.

I can't speak for all the mods, but I know that I can't be here at all times patrolling every little nook and cranny of the forum.

Do things slip by us mods? Of course. But you have to think...what's considered "bad" to you may not be considered "bad" to me. That's the tough part about interpretation. Everybody interprets things differently.

And like Erica said earlier...if we get into a police state, no one is going to want to come here.

I have to be a b*tch at work sometimes. I don't want to have to come here and treat people like I do my kids at work when I have to be a b*tch. But if ya'll want me to...fine. But keep in mind that when I come to the board, I don't want to be in "work" mode.

Dave and I have talked things are cool. homeboy brought the evidence to the table though. some that i have done well to just mentally block out.
