Some of us have been busy lately. We'll get back to normal.

I've been studying for tests...and I have finals coming up in about a week LOL

dude, it doesn't have to be dead.....there is plenty to talk about. Its banquet week.....

and I know everyone is busy, I just hate that some people leave for the offseason.....we still have plenty of fun

and I agree with Lisa that some people get fed up with the lack of discussion by many posters in the racing areas of the board.....yea, it the offseason but there is still plenty to discuss

So everyone come post with me, I've got 2 more days that I have to work all day then I have a few days off coming up so I'll be around to post a ton and remind all you people about scrapbook stuff and all that

STUDY FIRST, no failing to post instead!

We were supposed to have a Psych. test today, but some peeps talked to our teacher, and instead he gave us three options, and we chose to make it a class test...he assigned each of us a question with the page it could be found on LOL So we all got 100's

study study study...that will be me next week! i am gonna get in all the fun time i can before i have to hole myself away! lol

final projects this week...only 4 more days...and i can have my social life back!

Agreed a hundred percent.

After some of the drama and non-sense in the Off Topic Area, I just avoid it altogether. I don't even go there at all. I just stick to the Kasey, Evernham Motorsports, and In The Pits areas mostly.

But its just sometimes frustrating and hard to keep posting even in those sections where people usually do either 2 things:
1) Just talk about how hot/awesome/etc someone is OR
2) All reply with basically the exact same response over and over and over. I mean 20 people all responding with "Agreed" or :lmao isnt really discussing.

I'm not trying to sound pissed off or anything, I'm just trying to explain what I think, and what seems like some others here are also feeling.

I know I've also been somewhat turned off to posting because a few times I have posted a response, someone responds to my comment with a smart comeback that has nothing to do with the topic, and is just negative towards me. Its only happened twice so far, but twice is enough to make myself and a few others feel like not posting.

Just my opinion/thoughts though.

no matter how many times I try and get it through to some, they still and I don't want to close this board off to only certain people cause I love something about everyone here........but some people and the lack of respect for people around here and the lack of responses with meaning is driving me nuts

Sure in the Kasey area we are going to have plenty of threads about how awesome he is, but we've got plenty of other stuff to discuss too and yes we all hijack threads, thats a part of a message board but I know we can all discuss things more and have a lot more fun and interesting information filling time if everyone would just help out and post on all the topics instead of just certain areas of the board.

I hate I'm not around as much anymore and I unfornately think that its when I took this new job working a lot more hours a week that things got bad around here, but my goal is to start managing my time better and take this board back to where it has been and that was an awesome place. But I'll need you guys to help me......so please keep posting and take to heart the kinds of posts people want to see and talk about.

I think if there are enough of us that want to see that type of stuff stop, that we can make it happen. I'm game for trying caue I'm with everyone else and I'll go into the Off Topics section, but I try to avoid it at all costs.

Awesome is one thing...how hot is quite another.

And as much as I want to see this board go back to where it was, I don't think that will ever happen. There has been too much damage and people just start more drama when we try to stop it and they have no idea of what this board USED to be.

That's partially why I have decided I'm just going to say what I think about whatever idiot comment I see. And I told you before but telling you again - if it comes down to it, suspend me, ban me, whatever.


I'm just tired of it.

I don't post about Kasey being all hot.

And, I do post in the racing areas but just not very often. I don't very much cuz it's a lot about like, appearances, and like stuff that I don't know what to say about it. Like, crew chief things and stuff. I am not all smart about that stuff. So I don't post much.

I understand all the stuff, I am not new to the sport ar anything it's just, like, I don't really have an opinion a lot on all the stuff. *shrugs* :hehe

dang i guess im the only one who doesnt think the board sucks right now? i dont get why people are so against the off topic section. if you dont like it dont read it. geez. you cant force people to only post in certain sections of the board, just because you dont like the other ones.

Well I, on the other hand, am new to the sport. I feel bad because I don't know very much. I do try to get involved in the racing/Evernham/Kasey sections. I have posted in them before. So, I appologize for posting in mostly the off-topic section but lately, I haven't really. And I have cut down my smiley usage a lot. So...I'll try and post more in the other sections, just let me get a little more knowledge on the sport LOL After all, I just got into it (June of this year)

Its nothing against the Off Topic Area, I think every board needs an Off Topic Area. Its just I guess some people would hope and wanna see more of the people posting there also post and participate more in the other Areas.

I know for me, when I found this board I was excited to meet and chat with other Kasey/race fans. And for the most part that's what has happened, but its just well, frustrating for lack of a better word, when people either just post smiley faces (although people have really cut down on that) or threads get hi-jacked with jokes or references about convos between people from Off Topic area.

Usually, you'd know if you did something wrong, Krissy.

Someone from the Admin/Mod team would say something to you. Usually in "private" (for lack of a better term...it's usually handled through PM or email).

No one is against that section.......and we aren't about making people post in all the areas of the board, you can post where you want but we want to encourage talk in the racing areas of the board cause thats the main part of the board.......its why its at the top of the forum area.

The reasoning behind the dislike of things going on is a major lack of respect like Erica said. Do you know some members where told by another member in a thread "F*** you"? Thats a lack of respect, everyone here is to have respect for each other on this board, what you want to do when you are off the board as long as you don't do something with something from this board........then so be it. But on this board I want everyone to respect each other and put their differences aside and trust me I spend way more time yelling at people for this than I'd like too.

There really is just a few threads and cases where things need to change, I'll gladly post a thread in every area of the board outlining all of this if I need too? I don't mind if thats what it takes for everyone to understand where I'm coming from and some others are coming from.

We aren't trying to take away from people having fun, in fact we are encouraging the having fun........we just want a few things to be how they were intended and like I said its my fault they got the way they are, cause I haven't been around like I need to be to deal with it.

My PM box and my email is open if anyone feels they want to discuss anything else.
