If I'm not mistaken, AJ was on NBS 24/7 for a millisecond last night (when Doug Stringer was talking to the pit crew before the race). It was just a glance - they probably didn't want to show too much of him out of respect for Mike Wallace, since I believe AJ is going to run the 38 for the rest of the year after the Charlotte race instead of Mike.
I wouldn't have recognized AJ( never seen him before) if I hadn't seen some video at the beginning of Wind Tunnel yesterday morning - he has gorgeous shoulder-length hair now. (What is Great Clips going to do with that, ha!)
He is very good-looking B) and will probably be fun to follow on NBS 24/7 next year (which may be a reason he got picked, along with his famous name!). I love that show. But I do wonder if a rookie stock-car racer is what that team needs. The car doesn't seem to run that great even when it's not wrecked, so I don't know that AJ or Doug Stringer is going to be very happy with each other. I guess Ray Evernham is just monitoring AJ to see what he can do.
Speaking of NBS 24/7, I don't think I want Erin running the Fitz -Bradshaw 40 car - ever. (I believe I read here that she may run a few races this year in the 40 in some sort of agreement between Fitz and Evernham, but that may have changed.) From what I've seen on NBS 24/7, that car always seems to break down before the race is over, and she just doesn't need any more problems this season. (Go Erin!)

I don't think he's going to do well. First, the 38 team is terrible and will probably continue to be so next year. Second, AJ is awful in the IRL but he was in his grandfather's crappy car so you never know.

:) I'm actually interested in him because he'll probably be on NBS 24/7 starting in a couple of weeks and I usually end up kinda liking all those drivers. If not for that, I wouldn't be paying much too much attention. I do wish him luck, though... he'll probably need it in the 38! His hair in those pictures is long, but yesterday on TV it seemed even longer.

True that. SOME PEOPLE have been following this kid since he won an Infiniti Pro Series championship. Since when do looks determine whether or not a drvier is deserving of fans? Last I checked talent won championships,not boyish good looks. Tyler Walker gained fans like you guys because you thought he was pretty and he put anything he could get his hands on into a wall. For Anthony's sake I hope you all find him unattractive and talentless...that should get him a championship or two.

For the record, I have been a fan of Mr. Foyt's for like forever. I don't remember not being a fan of his. I've known he's had talent even since he won that Infiniti Pro Series Championship in 2002. I've been a fan through those dreadful years in the IRL. I've stood up for him when people have put him done. Now, if you all are just going to jump on the bandwagon "just because he's cute", then you aren't true fans. I've been a fan from the beginning. I've stood by he through these years.
