Crocker testing Busch car, may move up faster? Erin Crocker will test a Busch car at Dover on Tuesday, in anticipation of running there in late September. She was set to run Friday's ARCA race here until crashing at Nashville. Crocker's specific 2006 plans will be announced soon, said car owner Ray Evernham, who has invested heavily in the 24-year-old redhead, with plans for a full Busch tour run next year in a Dodge. Oh! That's why they withdrew from the Michigan ARCA race. I really hope Erin stays loyal with Ray and drives for EMS next year in the Busch series. I'd hate to see her career ruined by jumping to a full Nextel Cup schedule in a Chevy in 2006.

This is the young lady that calls him "Uncle" Ray. As much as she wants to race, she knows that Ray has her best interests at heart.

Thankfully, there seems to be a huge amount of loyalty that Erin has for Ray. And I really doubt that she would stab Ray in the back considering what he has done for her. The earliest I could see Erin in a Cup car full-time is 2007. She needs to get a full season of Busch under her belt first.

Erin and Ray have a special bond. I can't imagine her leaving EMS. She knows that Ray wants what is best for her. You can't really say that much for chevy.

I think she withdrew because the 91 Nextel Cup team (which will be the 10 next year) is the same team as the 98 ARCA team that Erin runs for. Because the team needed to put effort into Bill's Nextel Cup effort, they withdrew from the ARCA race.

I also read that it was because Erin was recovering from a crash at Nashville.
