Title: Story Hype Topic
Description: Overhyping is good.

I was bored today, so I started to write a story. It has no title, as of yet, and it's not finished yet. Also, I use Canadian grammar. Like favourite instead of favorite, so don't correct me.

If all goes well, it will be a pretty good story. The main character's a 13-year-old named Chris. He is interested in dreams and how they work. He also has some weird dreams himself... but can they help him save a life?

I bet I'll have you at the edge of your computer chairs with this one. So, I decided to post the first few paragraphs of the story here.

-----------------------------------------------------

Chris was a pretty average 13 year old kid. He lived in a nice neighbourhood in a small city called Sarnia, in a decent sized house. He went to a regular school, and got pretty good grades. He was a good kid, he stayed away from drugs and the like. It's safe to say his life was pretty boring. This is the story of how that all changed.

It all started on a warm Saturday in July...

RIIING... RIIING... the phone is ringing. Chris answers it. "Hello?" "Oh, hey Chris. It's Matt." It was Chris' best friend Matt. "Hey." said Chris. "Yeah. Are you busy right now?" "Well, kind of. I'm researching some more on dreams and stuff." Chris has always been interested in dreams and how they work. He often goes to bed early just so he can test a new theory of his on dreams.

"But, why are you asking, anyway?" Chris asked. "Well, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out for a while before we go to the dance tonight." "WHAT? I told you I didn't want to go to that stupid dance! Do you know what people do at those dances? Bad stuff!" "Well, then, don't do that stuff." "But what if they try to make me? I don't handle peer pressure very well!" "Don't worry. I've got your back. Anyway, it'll be fun! I can hook you up with someone if you want to get-" "NO! Please don't." Chris interrupted. "No. Wait. I mean, I can do that myself. Yeah. Okay, I'll go to the dance. But I won't like it. I hope you're happy. I'll be over at your house in a few minutes. Bye." "Uh... yeah, see you." Matt said, not knowing what else to say.

Chris shut off his computer, and ran out the door. "Wait!" called Chris' mom. "Where are you going?" she asked. "To Matt's, then the dance." He started running down the street towards Matt's house. "I thought you weren't going to that dance!" His mom yelled to him. "So did I!" he yelled back.

---------------------------------------------------

Don't worry, it probably won't be long until I finish this. Yes, I do have more already typed out. Lots more.

When I finish this, I will post it in a new topic here.

Also, you may believe that while I am doing this I have no time to work on Ocyras. That is true, so I'm trying to work as much as I can on this.

Okay... I ditched making this story. I MIGHT finish it sometime in the future, but I've found something else to do, so I'm ditching it for now. Sorry for getting you so excited for my awesome story.
