Title: Being A Webmaster As A Job

Would you design websites as a job? How about maintaining a website? (updating news, making the code standards-compliant) It seems like an easy job, doesn't it?

What if you also had to moderate forums, update RSS feeds, and long lists of other jobs? Being a webmaster is not just updating code anymore. There is lots of things you need to do. On a job interview for being a webmaster, you could be asked anything from your skills in PHP and HTML to things like C, Cold Fusion, Photoshop or Perl. Many people who have degrees in HTML aren't webmasters because of this long list of other requirements. Is it really that good of a job?

Not very much C is used in web design...

Also, to me, it IS that good of a job. It's what I like to do, and that's all there is to it.

Also, usually people can moderate their own forums. Doesn't take much web design knowledge, really. Especially if it's just something like phpBB or Invisionfree.

Of course you would be asked about your skills in Photoshop! (or any other advanced graphic design program) Websites are (supposed to be) designed as a graphic first! (we didn't do that for Ocyras, though)

Not at all.

Bottom line is, yes, it really is that good of a job. For some people, like me.
