Alway - July 16, 2007 09:51 PM (GMT)
HAY guys!!!! watz websitez mayd owt uv?

</joke>

Anyway, I just really wanted to post that. Uh-oh. If I don't think of something useful to say, Vic will yell at me for spamming... hmm... umm... uhh...

I GOT IT!

XHTML 1.1 is out. Ocyras switched to it. What do you guys think of it?

P.S. If you didn't get the joke, read the School Quotes page on Ocyras, and click on the link that the "mustard" quote leads to.

lol wuts a joke

Alway - July 16, 2007 11:38 PM (GMT)
joke: a humorous anecdote or remark intended to provoke laughter; "he told a very funny joke"; "he knows a million gags"; "thanks for the laugh"; "he laughed unpleasantly at his own jest"; "even a schoolboy's jape is supposed to have some ascertainable point"

There you go.

k

Vic - July 16, 2007 11:41 PM (GMT)
lol? this topic has nothing to do with xhtml 1.1

edit: wait, neither does this post. fix'd. ---

The Extensible HyperText Markup Language, or XHTML, is a markup language that has the same depth of expression as HTML, but also conforms to XML syntax.

Did you know that if you go to the page on w3.org for XHTML 1.1, it says that it's still a working draft? Interesting, eh? Anyway, the only slightly-significant new feature is the addition of RUBY... which I'll probably never use anyway. But, it's still cool to have a new version of XHTML out.

Vic - July 16, 2007 11:54 PM (GMT)
html5 and xhtml2 is draft too

koolman911 - July 16, 2007 11:54 PM (GMT)
wtf are u guys talking about? html? xhtml? wuts that? i only no html boxs

Alway - July 17, 2007 12:15 AM (GMT)
Yes, you're right. Don't I remember the W3C saying that XHTML would replace HTML, and HTML 4.01 would be the last version of HTML? I guess I heard wrong, because HTML 5 is coming. Vic, which one will we use: HTML or XHTML?

~Alway

EDIT: this post is directed towards Vic.

Alway - July 17, 2007 12:18 AM (GMT)
koolman911, XHTML is the new version HTML. It is based off of XML, instead of SGML. It is supposed to replace HTML. You can read all about HTML, XHTML, and all of their versions at the W3C website.

Vic - July 17, 2007 12:28 AM (GMT)
html5=xhtml3

Alway - July 17, 2007 12:30 PM (GMT)
Well, obviously not, or they would have called it XHTML 3.
