Martha's family is in next season (including Trevor Laird of Trial Of A Timelord fame as Martha's Dad).
Looks like with New Who we don't just get the companion!!!

It is unfortunate. One nice aspect of the old series was they would change it around a bit. Is this to prove the Doctor "does domestic" after all?

but then again everyone panicked when Billie was anounced and ranted against that children's tv guy who played Jake, you never know, he might be quite good! I'm prepared to wait and see.

True, but Reggie Yates was on TOTP, when it was truly awful :(
