Title: Which Companion Shouldn't Have Been...?

Which of the Doctor's companions do you think he could have done without? Which one would you send out to fight a squad of Daleks with a hose pipe?

What's your reason?

Kamelion

Say no more

Mel and Ace

Mel and Ace

Not often I disagree with you Thasc.

I thought Ace was a perfectly good companion and I believe that once the baggage of season 26 was out of the way Dorothy could have made an excellent companion should there have been a season 27.

As for MEL...Hmmmmm!!!! You either loved or hated Mel. Mel would have been fine had Colin stayed on, however a big mismatch with Sylv. A bit too excitable for my tastes

Possibly Susan. She was too much of a whinge-bag to be honest, which was a shame.

Mel and Tegan are the ones who immediately spring to mind. I'm surpised that this post has been open three days and no mention of Adric! Still, I wouldn't include him - I've never seen why he's so widely hated.

gotta hate someone! i think its because hes a wining adolescent, bratty child sort of image. i dont know, hes not that bad i dont think.

i'd have to say, Grace, kick her out and start afresh with Final Invasion (still available on the fan fic board! ;))

Mel... way too perky for my taste. I'd need at least three cups of coffee in me to keep me from pummeling her.

Her attire puts me off instantly

Still, Kate O'Mara's Mel in 'Time and the Rani' was an absolute hoot!

Grace.

I just didn't like the character at all.

Hi

Steven

As wooden as a door, as for Adric I think it is more Mathew then Adric

Mel!!!!!!!!

At the time they were just looking for more nails in the shows coffin, and she fitted the bill perfectly

I always thought that Turlough was a whiny pain in the posterior as well, he was only remotely interesting when he was trying to kill the Doctor, then he got over that, and became a whiny assed Adric mark 2

I thought that Dodo was pretty annoying.... (Just thought I'd throw out a name that had not been mentioned yet.)
