Linkedy linkI am overjoyed at reading the news that 'Rose Tyler: Earth Defence' has been called off. Not only would it be too much like Torchwood, but it would ruin Doctor Who itself me thinks. The programme name is also awful.

I didn't know about that, two spin offs are quite enough (they can go a bit too far with this).
I like the idea of Torchwood and also Sarah Jane having her own CBBC show but that's it.

Good for RTD. It would have spoiled the end of Series 2, seeing her carrying on as before.
And you're right, Dan, the title was silly - it sounds like a cheap computer game.

From what I have read, this was a very Last Minute cancellation. It was almost in pre-production stage when RTD decided it was one spin-off too far.

Indeed. It would in no way match the superb gameplay of Tomb Raider: Legend :D (if it were a computer game that is)
