Title: Fussion Rattle Can Paint
Description: who sells it.
alvinonline - March 21, 2006 02:55 PM (GMT)
Just wondering, who in Mobile sells the Fussion brand spray can paint.
Heard it is good for painting plastic helicopter canopy.
Someone I know wants to give it a go.

Looks like it's manufactured by Krylon, here's a list of Krylon retailers:
http://krylon.com/main/locator.cfmLooks like autoparts stores, Ace Hardware, Wal-Mart, and Hobby Lobby are the best bets. I guess Lowe's and Home Depot don't stock Krylon products. Has this "someone you know" tried any of those locations?
He could always order online:

Thanks Mike, for the information.
Looks like the colors are limited more than I figured.
Hunter Green is about it for green.
I wonder how Tony the someone person would like this.

We got busy today and it is amazing how good Tony's Hawk Pro looks with the new paint job.
David - March 22, 2006 02:23 AM (GMT)
it is good paint, yes colors are few but if it is not flashed and sanded it will not stick. the fuel will still eat it up. if you do crash (and i hope not) it will crack still.
check out the thread on runryder. lots have had good luck with it

AMAZING !!!! It doesn't even look like a HAWK Pro anymore! <_<
Maybe if we spray some of that on yugo it will suddenly transform into a ferrari.

I'm thinking about opening up an aircraft / heli paint store, I'll be painting aircraft & heli parts. I'll paint any body parts including hooters. I need you guys/gals to help me come up with a name for my new business, the first name that pops in my HEAD is >>HOOTER CANOPIES<<. I'll need a few supplies to get started, lets see.... for starters I guess I'll probably need a compressor, paint gun, air hose, paint, sandpaper and some hooters. Oh and let's not forget the ever so important employees >> I'll do the painting, Alvin you can take care of the customerS and Steve you take care of the hooters!!
Probably need a computer system, some sort of system......maybe a Dell or Mac Frits.
TONY F - March 23, 2006 03:23 AM (GMT)
Rene' was going to do the computer work but she can't remember to log out of our compter,
alvinonline - March 23, 2006 05:39 AM (GMT)
I was reading that post and was thinking that there was something about Rene that I did not know, when i was reading about her going to be painting Hooter parts.
I want some Hooter also. Can I just look at them? Steve not know what to do with a Hooter. Margo will not let him.
Think twice about Frits/Mac computer control. If Frits gets sick, quits, on vacation, no one will be able to work the computer.
You sure you got time to go into another enterprise?
Of course with that $1,000.00 deductable, your paint shop would make a killing off just AutoSave.
Sho do hope your canopy paint job works out.
I don't want to chance getting by Turbo many more times.
Hooter's Canopies - Real men fly Hooters.
Me and Uncle Lloyd will give you a cut rate on web advertizing.

Now there is a job I can sink my teeth into. :what:
What color would you like them, or I could paint them to look like flowers or puppy dogs for you. Are you sure Tony won't be upset? maybe if I do up a # 8 theme he will be OK with it.

I don't know Tony, sounds real expensive too me.. ;) I mean there is all the start up costs, plus the serious money it's gonna cost you to get ANY living woman (even the fat and old ones) to show you their hooters, much less get close enough to paint em! I doubt you three can raise that kind of capital! (I doubt Bill Gates could raise that kind of money!!) :roflmao:
TONY F - March 24, 2006 02:59 AM (GMT)
;) Margo you must not know us GOOD OLD BOY'S as well as you think. We have some of the nice's chopper's in the SOUTH. :fullmoon: Bill Gate's know's nothing about BIG CHOPPER'S. :P
Mr.Incredible - March 24, 2006 03:56 AM (GMT)
My butt is still at work close to 10:00 PM 2nd night in a row, I may just reward myself for the long hours and skip out tomorrow to go fly, anyone else planning a friday afternoon trip to the field?
Or if someone brings me a nice set of hooters I'll paint 'em up for ya (that offer is not extended to you Alvin)

I will be there with my Hawks, Steve.
Get ready to do some fancy helicopter stuff with me now, okay?
The weather is supposed to be GREAT this weekend!
Mr.Incredible - March 24, 2006 05:53 PM (GMT)
Well I won't be able to get away today, life is full of disapointments. Looking forward to the great weather tomorrow.
Flying Dutchman - March 25, 2006 12:22 AM (GMT)
Well, I DID go to the field today and got one full flight in, full of wonderful autorotations, nose-in hovers and pirouettes, most done about 10 inches off the grass...
No one else was there, and when I got pretty cold toward the end of that flight, I decided that was enough and I went home...
Before I went to the field I swung by that wonderful automotive repair and tire business in Tillman's Corner, Auto Save Tires.
Tony had called me earlier and said his Hawk's canopy was painted now and it looked good! Still lacking were the ever-changing, shimmering flames that he had talked about...
So I made a special trip to his place of business and expected to see a unique and flashy canopy, something to write home about. Tony had made it out to be a really eye-catching color scheme.
Well, what a disappointment! :o
Oh, it was a nice paint job all right. All nice and smooth and shiny, but guess what? It's THE SAME color as Alvin's Raptor!
Now we know who Tony's mentor and sponsor is! Perhaps Alvin knows something about Tony that's best left unsaid. Perhaps there's more going on than we know. Putting those flashy flames on that canopy won't make a difference, Tony! It sure won't make you fly like your hero...
alvinonline - March 25, 2006 02:43 AM (GMT)
Tony wanted me to get pictures of his Hawk Pro paint job so far before it gets the flame treatment.

TONY F - March 25, 2006 02:44 AM (GMT)
FRITS....BITE ME AND WHILE YOU'RE AT IT LICK A NUT!
alvinonline - March 25, 2006 02:49 AM (GMT)
Play nice fellows.
:boxers: :hysterical: :roflmao:
TONY F - March 25, 2006 02:53 AM (GMT)
;) Alvin can I please have some of those LITTLE warning thing's. :hysterical:
Mr.Incredible - March 25, 2006 03:27 AM (GMT)
Allow me to mediate;
1. Tony put much effort into painting his canopy
we should all pretend we think it looks nice
2. Frits publicly acuses Tony of making it look just Like His hero's helicopter
although very funny it was not very nice
and it is not true because it looks nothing like either of my choppers
personally I think it looks more like Alvin's Raptor 30
3. Frits acuses Tony and Alvin of having a secret gay love for each other
Just plane funny, no foul here
use your own judgement as to whether it is true
whether it is true has no effect on the funny
4. Tony lashes back in Anger at frits' ridicule
understandable if directed toward the dissing of the canopy considering the effort he put into the paint job
If the anger was toward the fact that Frits pointed out he is gay then I say if you laughed when Scott poked fun at Mike B's sexual preferences then you have to laugh at your own gayness too.
Maybe you could paint a rainbow air freshner on the winshield
Conclusion, who cares it was all funny for the rest of us.
alvinonline - March 25, 2006 03:39 AM (GMT)
Hey Tony, looks like they are on to us.
We were talking about some sexie thing just this afternoon at AutoSave.
:hysterical: :pirate: :roflmao:

way to read between the lines Don, :hysterical:  I suspect your version is a more accurate potrayal of Frits' private practice sessions.
alvinonline - March 25, 2006 07:44 AM (GMT)
Mike, yes that is stock milk bottle type plastic stock canopy.
It takes real "BOS" to fly a chopper looking like this.

Whoah there, Mr.Incrediboy!!! :o
That's NOT a fact! I never used the G word, nor did I even imply it.
You must be way more observant than I as to what's been going on with those two. In my eyes I thought it was just pure and sincere admiration toward Alvin from Tony's end.
I figured that with more than a dozen paint colors on the market, Tony would be able to pick out something outstanding all by himself, something eye-catching. Those sparkly flames he was going to have painted (with that special $50/oz. paint) on that canopy had better flicker in an awesome way!
(I see from the picture they have turned into balls now. What's up with THAT, Tony?)
But hey, this is coming from a guy who flies two Hawk helicopters with canopies that have never even seen paint.
I guess now I'll have to paint mine too...
No — they won't be green... :vomit:
