Title: To trust a used engine or not to?

Found some seemingly good deals on RCU for a gasser for the Decathlon, since I'm always a fan of saving $150 or so. At the same time, I'm just nervous about how it was treated, tuned, etc. What do y'all think?

Mike, I would be nervous also.
I have never purchased anything like that online and would get ripped for sure if I did. :crying:

Go ahead and go for it.
If it turns out to be a great deal, we and you will be happy about it. :hyper:
If you get took to the cleaners, we will have $150 worth of fun picking at you about it. :hysterical:

My thrill threshold is just not as high as somes. :hmm:

I dont know, sometimes people just get out of the hobby or need some cash to do other things in rc so it may be a good deal but there is only one way to find out. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but thats just the rc auction 2 step. Go for it and let us know how it went :D hey it may be the beginning of something beautiful

 Thanks for the pointers.

Right now I'm actually swaying in this direction:

Just a little more than a used G-38, still much more economical than a new one, and supposedly a nearly identical engine. I don't know...got a few days to think still.
