Title: Channel 49 & Channel 54 Pins

Rob Harrison - November 14, 2005 03:32 PM (GMT)

Please note the channel 54 pin was destroyed this weekend. :crying: :banghead:
We have a white replacement pin on the board right now.

I took the channel 49 pin for a sample, so it is missing. I
should have the new channel 54 pin by Wednesday or
Thursday and will deliver it to Andy at HobbyTown.

Since I am the only one that flys on channel 49, hopefully
this will not be a problem.

Just wanted to give y'all a "heads-up".

I noticed we had a white 54 on the board, but how does a pin get "destroyed?" I'm curious now...

HMMMM, not sure that I'd have told everyone that ;)

Jon,

I beleive a car ran over the pin. Wes showed it to me
and it was a mess.

Channel 49 has a "history" of gremlins at the field. ;)
I am the only one brave enough to use that channel.

That frequency has caused many crashes with my
Raptor 30. I am just trying to protect everyone else. <_<

Mike,
Someone got the 54 pin so as to fly.
They were kind of new and attached the pin to their airplane instead of to their transmitter.
When they crashed the airplane real good, the attached 54 pin was also destroyed.

I think that is what happened according to one story.

Another story floating around is that last Thursday, one of the big plane fellows used pin 54, unknowingly (till next morning) dropped/lost it in parking lot.
By the time pin was noticed missing, big search ensued, pin found in parking lot, had been run over several times, was in sad state of affairs.

I like the first story better, but believe second story to be closer to the actual event.
