Title: Alvin Shows His Big Balls
Description: of steel.
alvinonline - November 14, 2005 01:04 AM (GMT)
I had to do something today against my better judgement, but felt obligated.
I rode down to field gate with Tony Farmer in his truck to take down the club banner from the fence.
I saw this little bottle of spray "Good Smellum Stuff" and proceded to really spray myself down with it. I figured that it might save me from a bath tonight.
Tony started throwing a coneption fit and made me put the bottle down.
He said that it was some like $100 a ounce stuff and I was not supposed to be takeing a bath in it. You just spay some in the air and walk through it.
Now I am wondering why some old married man has something like that in his truck. He don't need to smell good anymore.
So my guilt for useing up about $10 worth of his high dollar cologne got Tony his flight with my Raptor chopper. He has been flying his Hawk Pro pretty good so was no big deal.
Now for Steve Drake.
He has been getting pretty fair at flying his little BladeCP electric chopper.
Some nice UltraLite airplane buzzed our RC runway today and Steve really liked the looks of it and his eyes really lit up.
Not wanting for him to quit RC for Ultralites, I let him fly my Raptor to get his interest back to continueing with his BladeCP for a little longer and then progressing to a nitro job.
Steve had it up in a nice hover, it started to drift off, Steve was hollering for me to take it, that low to ground was no time for a transmitter hand off, I said "You got it Steve, you must land it and don't tear it up". Sort of like jumping in the river to learn how to swim.
Once Steve knew I was not going to take the transmitter, he settled down to concentrate and made a good landing. Then he flew it some more and was wanting to make me some kind of trade for it, but Margo would not go along with deal, no matter how good I was smelling.
I tried to get David Lanzo to take a turn flying my chopper, but he refused, scared, say scared.
David has been a hover specialist for about three years with his Hawk and would have had no problems. He has only crashed one time due to a TR servo failure.
David had his chance, after all, I owed him a favor also that he did not even know about. We were flying with his fuel. I had topped off the Raptor tank out of David's fuel jug when he was flying his airplane. (really I got the fuel from Steve)
David is such a nice forgiving guy that I knew he would not mind.
That is the story as best I can recollect it, and I am unamious in that.

Loved flying the Raptor, but I was not really scared on the first flight, I was just trying to make you sweat to enhance the arroma of the sweet smellin fragrance to help swade Margo to go for the trade. I don't understand how she resisted such a great trade offer.
Next I will have to try and shmooz Fritz' into flying one of his Hawks so I can compare before making the final purchase decision, I won't be as nervous with his because he has a spare, so maybe I will try my first Helicopter Split S or something cool like that. :greenheli: What do ya say Fritz, I will trade you Alvin for some stick time  (He smells real good, kind of like Tony :yickes: but try not to think about that)
Scott Godbee - November 14, 2005 03:53 AM (GMT)
I think Alvin has been at the sticks of almost all of my birds at one time or another, though he never asked, it was me who asked him to do it.
I am a little hurt that he has never asked me to fly his. I have always wanted to fly a real RC chopper, and I guess the closest I will ever get is asking Tony and Steve what it was like.
Frits was right, you have to be a member of the clique around here to be recognized.
I think I am going to move my membership over to the Battleship. I bet they would welcome a RC Helicopter pilot with open arms, I bet even a reception in my honor.
Broken and scarred,
Scott

Scott,
I stand in such awe of your premo machines and ability to fly them with such unaclaimed expertise, that I always believed it beneath your status to stoop to flying a lowly old everyday run of the mill Raptor.
Next the day you find us flushed with strong spitits, be not bashfull, stand forth with flying fingers unsheathed and we will let you take her for a spin with our own transmitter.

I don't know Alvin, the damage has been done. I am going to have to think about this.
Let me clear something up before I close. You are not fooling me pal, I KNOW about that "everyday run of the mill Raptor".
You have it disguised that way. I have seen all the different parts mounted on this beast. None of them stock, but all of them creme de la creme of all the finest Heli models on the market.
And the biggest fraud yet, is the mechanism mounted in the nose of your canopy. A dirt dobber nest you say. HA. I deep guffaw bellows from my gullet at the thought that you have me fooled sir!!! This custom built machine is no out of the box trainer for sure!!!
You didn't think I knew did you?
Scott

Darn it, I have been found out!!!!
Scott knows about my new engineering prototype organic chopper gyro controller with fuzzy logic synapses still in beta.
I thought that the little critter in it's special nano supported work module disguised as a dirt dobber nest, controling my Raptor by brain wave thought transfer of my desired flight path into actuality was still under wraps.

I have a Pit Bull and a GUN!! and work odd hours, buyers beware!!! :yickes: And to my sweet lovely wife Margo, I am sorry and would "never trade you for plain old run of the mill Raptor" honest! :D
Scott, in order to allow you to live vicariously through my experiences of flying the great Raptor in disquise, I would have to have a basis of comparision in order to give you a detailed description of how it compares to your fleet. Next saturday is good for me, all you have to do is bring the choppers and sit back and relax. I'll do the rest, and The best part is that since I will being doing this as a favor to you, I will not have to assume any of the liability in the unlikely event of damages incured to one or all of them.
PS. if anyone else wants to know how your chopper compares to the Raptor, I will extend these services at no charge, just put the transmitter in my hand (but make sure it has the pin on it as I might become a bit excited and forget to think) I really want to practice some inverted stuff over the run way.

Jeg vet ikke hva i verdenen De snakker om men Margo gjør ikke noe som helst med Deres Baller eller Deres esel, ikke en gang for Deres Raptor.

Just goes to show that you can't trust those translater things.
They just don't work in reverse.

Alvin,
Be careful, your pit crew is down to just me now since Evon
fled town and Scott Gayle is now in the hot rod scene. I'll
still take care of your choppers, but you be sure and hold
these guy's checkbooks when they are flying your chopper.
David - November 14, 2005 04:41 PM (GMT)
