Yes Alvin, thanks alot for the B.O.S.S. I.D. badges. Do you think you
will be able to have the bar code scanner installed at the main gate this
week? That way, only B.O.S.S. members will have access to the field.
alvinonline - November 7, 2005 03:47 PM (GMT)
Thanks fellows, glad yall like them.
It was fun and a learning experience to make them.
Even Margo  (ballinhand) was wearing her's.
I wuz so happy. :hyper:

:greenheli: :heli_smiley: That was some nice work on those badge's if i don't have a heli i would get one just so i could get one of those badge's. :spin:

Yes indeed, those limited edition ID badges will be a valuable keepsake.
I poured tremendous resources :twocents: :twocents: and lots of time into doing them.
They were about two weeks in the engineering prototype stage, a couple of weeks in beta release, and finally the finished product.
I would make more of them, but my color ink cart. is about dry and the special material they are printed on (makes ink jet printing mostly water proof) all used up from all the test runs.
Too bad, too sad, yall that managed to get one, better take care of it and don't loose it. Probably will not be anymore.

It is an honor to have one, I will cherish it forever and hold it as my most prized possesion. Ms Incredible made me modify ours slightly, we replaced the pins with double sided tape so we could were them to bed when we are wearing nothing else. :)

I claim no knowledge of above statement. Although I do not know if Mr Incredible is wearing his to bed as he is now sleeping elsewhere! :roflmao:
seriously though, the badges were real nice Alvin, (still want a t-shirt though!) :D

Gee Wizz!!!!!
I could write a book in response to the above two posts, so much information and word pictures to work with.
Excellent fodder for a new cartoon, maybe.
But, I will just say thanks and glad yall like the badges.
Miss Margo,
About the T-shirt, we will talk.

On to other business and Tony's new Avatar.
I really concentrated (a rare moment) and made him one that really hits the spot I think.
An Avatar to represent his recent transition in favorite aircraft types.
Confidence is high that Tony will go for this one.
Rob Harrison - November 8, 2005 02:58 PM (GMT)
Don/Rob,
I haven't forgotten about getting a new plane. I was very seriously
thinking about the Hangar 9 P-51 trainer, but based on what has
been happening at the field with them, I am thinking about changing
my mind about that specific plane. I don't know if it is the plane,
the gremlins at the field, or the instructors (Sorry Frits, I couldn't
resist - just a joke though - please don't kill me).
I may just get a basic trainer like the Avistar, or HobbyTown trainer.
Flying Dutchman - November 8, 2005 04:49 PM (GMT)
Go ahead and get one of those Mustang trainers, Rob!
David had nothing to do with either crash, so you may want to give him a chance at one of them!
He should have fully recovered from his surgery by now, and should take up more of the load anyway, 'cause I'm contemplating retirement... :)
I need to share more of the grief that comes with instructing... :P
Rob Harrison - November 8, 2005 05:17 PM (GMT)
Frits,
I'm glad that I did not offend you.
I'll wind up getting one, just to prove to you that you
still have what it takes.
Flying Dutchman - November 8, 2005 07:13 PM (GMT)
Oh, I DO have what it takes, Rob!
Whether it's flying  , crashing :yickes: or midairing :yickes: ! I can do it!
David - November 8, 2005 08:12 PM (GMT)
cause I'm contemplating retirement.
we cant let fritz do that...l :D
Rob Harrison - November 8, 2005 08:36 PM (GMT)
Looks like it is up to me to get another trainer.

Frits
you can share the greif with me :banghead:
you don't need to retire, because if you do you want
have anything to fly.. :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :yickes:
Flying Dutchman - November 8, 2005 10:07 PM (GMT)
Yes, I will! I'll just have to reassign my priorities, and spend more time fixing my fleet.
(If that's okay with my wife, of course...) :(
At my age it's past time to let some of the younger folks take some of the responsibilities and contribute their efforts so we'll have a good club... A club our size should have at least FIVE instructors to share the load...
The more instructors there are, the less any one of them has to do...
I'll bring it up (again) at tonight's club meeting... I'll go ahead abd bring my deaf ears...
Mr.Incredible - November 9, 2005 05:52 AM (GMT)
I think I need more experience first but I would like to be a trainer when the master 'Fritz' says I am ready.
Flying Dutchman - November 9, 2005 12:23 PM (GMT)
Well, Steve, so far you already have the crashing part downpat...
:roflmao:

Yes, but wouldn't it be great if he crashed with someone elses wallet! uuuhhh I mean plane :hyper:
alvinonline - November 10, 2005 12:25 AM (GMT)
I think that Steve would make a wonderfull instructor.
He has such natural talent and is patient with beginners.
And being so close to learning himself, will not have forgotten the usual beginner pitfalls.
We need to get Steve on the fast track to "Instructorhood".
I vote for Steve.
