Justin, didn't say how many of what he has???????

Billyfrost - June 9, 2004 01:05 PM (GMT)
I have 2 Jr.

Billyfrost - June 9, 2004 01:06 PM (GMT)
I also have a couple of Hitec receivers and alot of Hitec servos. I have nothing against Futaba, I just started back with JR and they aren't compatible. I personally think the best radio for the money is the Futaba 9C. IMHO

jonkoppisch - June 9, 2004 04:07 PM (GMT)
I used to have airtronics, hitec, jr and futaba. It got to be to much of a pain to figure out which radio went with which plane. I decided to go with the futaba because of the expanded memory and that I already had quite a few receivers, servo extensions etc. I can put up to 40 models in my 8u memory now and if I sell a plane to someone with the same radio I can transfer the programming to there radio very easy. Like Billy, I think the 9c is probably one of the best radios for the money you can get. I have 4 futaba radios now but fly all but 1 plane with the futaba super 8.

Don Koval - June 10, 2004 07:16 AM (GMT)
I think you are right about the 9c jon :) When I bought my 2nd T6XA, Billy told me to get the 9c!!! WELL" My next one will be the 9c.... I need to pay a little more attention to the guys in the know :banghead:

Justin P. - June 13, 2004 10:11 PM (GMT)
I have 2 Futaba, 2 Hitecs, 1 JR.

Justin

Osirus711 - June 28, 2004 02:03 AM (GMT)
4 Futaba's.....It's easier to stick with one you know its all compatable.....by the way Ive got a Jr receiver I found in a plane I bought,I cant use it so if anyone wants one real cheap....I really dont know if it works (no way of testing it)

Justin P. - June 28, 2004 02:14 AM (GMT)
What JR receiver is it.

Justin

Osirus711 - June 28, 2004 10:35 PM (GMT)
Don't know why I didn't post what type it is....R600 6 ch. FM. Also if anyone has a Futaba compatable rec. they would want to trade for... that would be ideal.

Osirus711 - June 28, 2004 10:38 PM (GMT)
Also it needs a new ant. I kinda cut it...before I realized it was there.

Osirus711 - June 28, 2004 10:39 PM (GMT)
Oh...and its on Ch. 16

David - November 3, 2004 05:43 AM (GMT)
I am all for Futaba

:usaflag: :fullmoon: :pylon: :3DingPlane: :trans_icon: :3dCrash: :toot: :tank: :shark: :duck_egg:

Gringo Volador - November 3, 2004 10:44 PM (GMT)
A Futaba 7C that I love and my Hitec Laser 4 that I learned to fly with.

Bkndsdl - February 28, 2005 03:06 PM (GMT)
IMHO, JR is the way to go. I've got 3 JR radios, 2 Futabas, and one Hitec. I got the Fut's and Hitec by purchasing airplanes that were using those brand radios. All my JR radios were bought new. They are much more user friendly and are also easier to hold due to their advanced ergonomics. They are a little more expensive, but I believe the added cost is worth it.

ALANXP - March 5, 2005 07:58 AM (GMT)
i have the futaba 6exa and i love it

Flying Dutchman - March 5, 2005 12:58 PM (GMT)

grim_reaper27 - April 1, 2005 01:13 AM (GMT)
I have to Futabas, A 9cap and a 6 exa. By the way the 6exa is forsale. :usaflag: :D :fishing:

Just to let you know the 6EXA has been sold. :D

Mike - May 9, 2005 01:59 PM (GMT)
I have a Futaba 6EX and an old Conquest 4 of some sort. Searching for my next radio now, debating on whether I'd ever use an 8th and 9th channel. hades, I'll probably never even use the 7th, but having multiple model memory is a must.

Chazon - May 9, 2005 03:38 PM (GMT)
I have 2 Futaba's - 6EXA and a 4VF - both on Channel 48.

jonkoppisch - May 23, 2005 02:37 PM (GMT)
Hi Mike,
You'd be suprised how quick you can use up those extra channels!!!! If you get a little nicer aerobatic bird you'll end up using a second channel for the ailerons (so you can do spoilerons or flaperons), a second channel on the elevators (If you have dual elevator servos you can use a second channel to make sure the elevators move the same distance all thru the throw) then add smoke, retracts etc etc etc...

David - May 23, 2005 04:09 PM (GMT)
HI Mike, like John said they do get used more than you think. Something like the Futaba 9c series radio will do fine for just about anything. Very popular radio at the field also.

Mike - May 23, 2005 07:54 PM (GMT)
Well I opted for the 7C for now. The way I look at it, by the time I have a model big/nice enough to require 8+ channels, purchasing a 9C won't be too much of a problem. I think the 7C will do everything I need it to for now. Thanks for the input guys.

Rob Harrison - January 11, 2006 04:48 PM (GMT)

I currently have a Futaba 9CHP and an older Futaba 8UHP

Crash Kit - July 8, 2007 02:59 PM (GMT)
One that works is the way to go! JR :boxers: Futaba

Johnny_J - July 8, 2007 09:51 PM (GMT)
I have a futaba and e-flight (heli) But I will most likely be getting a Spectrum(JR)
if the heli version will do what I want it too!

jday - July 9, 2007 01:20 PM (GMT)
Started out with a Futaba Skyport 6 and then I bought a Futaba 7C later. Like going from a VW to a Caddy. Now I can program control changes that makes flying much easier.
I can also set up 10 different aircraft and it remembers settings for each. Best money I have spent on this hobby.

plane crazy - July 9, 2007 10:31 PM (GMT)
