Not knowing anything about RC turbines, except that I enjoy hearing them run, and the smell.
I thought they got that hot to turn it cherry red. :fuming:
But, I have never looked up the tail end of one running.

Sure looks like you don't need a BBQ grill at the flying site or at home either.

Maybe the misture is too lean or something. :unsure:

I was trying to find some info on RCUniverse about the glowing diffuser section. I know I've read about it there but didn't have any luck finding it. When my super eagle did that there was damage to the diffuser section + some of the injectors were clogged.... It could be a # of things. Something rubbing in the diffuser section, damaged blades etc. I take it this is happening after the ramp up and you're running on kero/jeta and your at an idle? When it's flaming I'd say there's to much propane being added... I see that the starter motor is still attached, could actually be holding the turbine back at that point.
