Thank you Alan.
I did not think that anyone would remember. ;)
And that looks just like me flying the banner plane, before I shaved off my beard.
I have to go with some kinfolks over across Mobile Bay to eat my birthday dinner at the L.A. (Lower Alabama, not Los Angeles, I hope) BBQ place in Summerdale, AL.
I have never been there before, hope it is good BBQ and plenty of it.

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes.
Born in 1947, yawl figure it out, I refuse to, would spoil my BBQ appetite.
Maybe we could start a BBQ joint review thread.
I don't know anything about this L.A. BBQ place yet except that it must be cheap, since my bro-in-law is picking up the tab and it was his choice to go there.
We have another forum Birthday Boy today (Aug. 19) also.
Happy Birthday to Andrew (Osirus711).

Thanks Rob, ant she sweet.
Well, we made it to L.A. BBQ in Summerdale, I am pretty sure that is the town we were in.
On the main drag to Gulf Shores and just before you enter Foley, on the right.
Kind of smaller place than I expecting, but the food was very good and plenty of it with doggie bag to go and live entertainment also.
They have some kind of "Trough" combo thing for $25 and $50.
We went with the $50 one and it fed seven of us with some left over to take away for the little Belle dog at home and me.
BBQed/Smoked chicken, pork ribs, pulled pork, beans, potato salad, slaw, bread, and about six different sauces to flavor it any way you want it. Some good ice tea to wash it all down and free refills.
And they know how to treat real BBQ eaters. Instead of some dinky little knapkins, they just go ahead and put a big roll of paper towels on table.
The live entertainment was some fellow over in the corner singing country and picking the gitar.
When we first went in, I saw him in corner, thought this is probably not going to so hot, but he got going and he could pic and sing pretty good. I put two dollars in his bucket to sing "Delta Dawn" and some others chipped in about ten dollars to get him to stop because I was singing along with him. Folks were suggesting that I might do better back over in Mobile.

I think you would sound better over in Summerdale.Maybe you can get a job over there & if the singing don't work out you can wash dishes.

I thought of that, but they don't wash dishes.
They give you plastic throw away plates, forks, and cups to eat out of.
And everybody was saying they have real high class eating joints over on the Eastern Shore. ;)
Some of you real "Pikers and Grinners" ought to try for a gig over there, free food and a tip bucket.
Tony, Glenn, Melvin, And Butch L. could be the band and Alvin and Uncle LLoyd could put on a stand up comedy act.
