ALANXP,
Yes a GWS receiver will work with the futaba 6exa, but If you are flying a 40 size ariplane then I would not reccommend using a GWS receiver. Two reasons:
1. Too much vibration (like the kind a gas airplane has) will make the receiver glitch or in worst case quit working.
2. A standard futaba receiver has a lot more range than one of the GWS receivers.
BUT, if you have an electric airplane that you are putting it in it would be fine to use the GWS receiver. The only thing you have to do is get the same freqency on the receiver as you have on your transmitter. You also have to do what Anthony and Don said in the above posts.
I hope this helps you out. :D

I am thinking about getting a Polk's Hobby 8 ch Seeker II receiver, bucause you do not need a crystal in it. It is a synthesized receiver and can be programed to work on any frequency. Price is $70.00 :twocents:
