Title: Question about servo

AnimeEd - April 11, 2005 01:06 AM (GMT)
I have a Futuba s3004 here and I want to know the range it does

I tried googling for it but the data sheet don't give the range of it, usually just speed
is there a standard range for servos?

I have tried using a radio control to move the servo and it only has a range of 90 degrees
but if i turn it by hand, I get a range of 180 degrees

so is my control not configed correctly or is that the true range?

thanks in advance

You are configured OK and that is the true range/travel.

The servos can normally be turned more by hand to their mechanical limit.

Under actual operation, about 90 degrees total throw is in the ball park.

thank you, that is all I needed to know

just so people won't think there are total noobs like me out there, I'm only using the servo for a non-remote control project and is using my father's 7-channel heli remote to test the servo (so many buttons......)
