Just a plain ol single engine airplane. Nothing fancy.
Don't "sandbag", someone might identify it any moment.

Good try, Alan.
But nope, not a Cessna of any kind.
This seems to be one of those kind of hard to guess aircraft and it needs/deserves a bigger reward/prize.
The prize is now increased to "15" points added to member forum post count.
Davzo - February 7, 2005 05:14 AM (GMT)

alvinonline - February 9, 2005 06:49 AM (GMT)
This must be a real tuffie.
In the hint picture above, the plant grows real good and fast in southern United States.
The bird is kind of crazy and has four letter name.
The weight of the world on his shoulders according to some really old timers.
ALANXP - February 9, 2005 08:29 AM (GMT)
i think its a kind of a parrot
Billyfrost - February 9, 2005 05:59 PM (GMT)
Its a hercules dodo plane
alvinonline - February 10, 2005 12:52 AM (GMT)
Sorry...Wrong and wrong.
Yall get real now and guess this airplane.
It is a "****s **m ***u"
This mystery aircraft has now gone un-identified longer than any other I think.
So, the prize is now bumped to Twenty Points for the lucky winner.
alvinonline - February 10, 2005 02:54 PM (GMT)
It is a "***as *4m **du"
Have I got yall stumped?
Should I go ahead and tell?
Or give you a little longer?
Don Koval - February 10, 2005 06:40 PM (GMT)
Alvin, tell us what it is. And then take away twenty points from the guys that have been getting it. :hysterical:

hehehe...That could be a good idea, Don.
Or, in the future, participants in Mystery Aircraft Contest would have to put up some of their points in the pot and winner takes all. :twocents: :twocents:
I will give yall a little more time, confidence is high  that it will get correctly identified.

| Atlas CM4 Kudu |
We Have a Winner!!It is indeed an
Atlas C4M KUDU.(close enough, at least all the correct letters and number are there)
Congratulations
Andrew, you have won the "boopie" prize

for winning the "Mystery Aircraft Fifteen" contest.
Andrew/Osirus711 receives
twenty points added to his forum post count total and his
member rank/status will reflect his win till we have another new contest winner.
Due to several inquireys about just what my clues were:
In the picture, the bird is a Kuku bird and the plant is Kudzu vine.
Atlas held the weight of the world on his shoulders and Hercules relieved him for a short time till though a trick of the ancient greek/roman gods, Atlas got the job back.
About forty of the C4M KUDU airplanes were built for the South African Airforce, to be used in short/no field operations in the bush.
David - February 11, 2005 06:05 AM (GMT)
BIG Congratulations Andrew! that was a hard one even with hints. Alvin sure knows how to pic them
