Title: Nov 7,2009 land fil will be open
Description: landfill will be open

Russell flying Tigers - November 4, 2009 10:58 AM (GMT)
On Nov.7,2009 This saturday the landfill will be open for trash from 8:00 to 12:00 noon mostlikely at the far south end of our runway so if you are flying be extra carefull since we will have public people on sight.

Which means you can expect people to be dragging their old dodo out clear through dark-thirty on Sunday.

Last year I asked the county personal that was at the landfill about people dropping off things after 12:00 on Saturday and they expressed that they would rather have people drop off items after 12:00 and threw the weekend compared to finding items dumped at the side of the road on half mile or where ever. They have a point. Someone (officer of the club) should step in and talk to them on Saturday to see what they say for this year.

I don't see where we have to do anything.
This dumping twice a year has been going on for many years, and there never have been any problems.
A week or two later the pile of rubbish is hauled off by the county and all's well again…

We are not the owners of the landfill…

I took a detour by the field today...
It looked as if the dumping had already started...

And wouldn't you know it, there came Russell, hauling crap to the place where people are allowed to dump twice a year... (I thought it was supposed to start on Saturday, Russell...)

The trash piles are growing...

Oh, and to whoever dropped off those magazines at the pavilion — we have bookcases for those...

Strong wind does funny things to magazines that are left out in the open, and I know you won't be there to retrieve them from all over the pavilion and parking lot after they've been blown all over the place...

The same goes for those who read them and don't put them back in the bookcases... <_<
The trash barrell will be a good place for them the next time...
