Title: WILL IT WORK???
Description: 4 reciever plane
CRASH 22 - September 11, 2009 03:43 PM (GMT)
:bigplane: Lets say, you take one plane.
You put FOUR recievers, four transmitters ect
.
One for each control surface. Ie Elevator, rudder Ect.
Then see if a four person "team" could fly it.
I know , I know, Most of you are asking "why??"
BUT, Will it work??
jonkoppisch - September 11, 2009 04:02 PM (GMT)
Actually, if I remember right. Jason shipman and chip Hyde did that with a plane and 2 transmitters

Anything for a good smack ;)
jonkoppisch - September 11, 2009 05:17 PM (GMT)
I'd give it a food 20 seconds. The after pics would last longer.

i don't know jon, i figure if crash22 gets the right pilots, this could make a.c.m.a. history. tony f. has signed up for a pilot. i think you, frits, al ayler, tony, and henry, would make a good team :sturthepot: and alvin for moral support :D
Flying Dutchman - September 11, 2009 05:44 PM (GMT)
Count me in!... :D
FOUR separate controls?
I guess by "one for each control surface" (there are usually three), you mean elevator, rudder and... a split left aileron and right aileron? :yickes: :yickes: :yickes: :yickes:

Flying Dutchman - September 11, 2009 05:57 PM (GMT)

ole greg - September 11, 2009 06:41 PM (GMT)
I can whip up a foamy to try it on.
ole greg - September 11, 2009 06:41 PM (GMT)
If yall dont mind a "little electric plane"
CRASH 22 - September 11, 2009 06:47 PM (GMT)
:bigplane: If three people want to try this out, We'll go for it.
:newstuff: Each person would need to put in a reciever, a battery, and an ON /Off switch.
I'll install it on my Tiger 2.
I t has a strong engine ( ROSSI .45 ) and we can install some of the equipment in the canopy area.
1. Ailerons - I think "spilt" might be much at first
2. Elevator
3. Throttle
4. Rudder
Alvin should start a poll on how long the first flight will last. :roflmao:
I think Jon said 20 secs  .
I think :spin: we will make a Full flight w/ manuvers and LAND.
alvinonline - September 11, 2009 06:54 PM (GMT)
Who gets credit for the crash, in the past we have known for sure. :roflmao:
Might be like a paternity lawsuit one time where this gal was having relations with four fellows and the judge had to figure who the guilty party was (was before DNA testing) and finally settled on blaming it on all four. :yickes:

CRASH 22 - September 11, 2009 07:23 PM (GMT)
:o The Tiger 2 needs to survive the weekend. :banghead:
I'll be using it to test this  Towed glider/ blimp thing.
It should be interesting.

i think that would make frits very proud :hysterical:
jonkoppisch - September 11, 2009 07:44 PM (GMT)
I'll take the elevator!!!
The Pensacola event is at the Rae Fritz field
Hope the n-law gets better!
Well need 4 frequencies, :D Good thing most people have gone to 2.4. How will we know if we got shot down
Flying Dutchman - September 11, 2009 07:48 PM (GMT)
I'm blushing already and swollen with pride... :P
Mike - September 11, 2009 08:34 PM (GMT)
I actually don't think this would be as hard as it seems to do a "normal" flight. Now coordinated four point rolls and inverted flight are another story.
But y'all should definitely do this on Sunday.
jonkoppisch - September 11, 2009 08:52 PM (GMT)
Let's try this again!
The way that it's shaping up, I'll have to retract the 20 second statement. I think we stand a good chance of flying it with 1 person on elevator, 1 on aileron, 1 on rudder (there's a boring job ;) ) and 1 on throttle. We'll need 4 receivers and 1 good battery (someone besides Robert better bring the receiver battery ;) )
When Jason and Chip did it, they split the plane, each with an elevator and aileron, not sure what they did with the rudder and throttle...
ole greg - September 11, 2009 10:32 PM (GMT)
How about a heli??? :yickes:

Count me in but yall will have to wait a couple more weeks so I can be home! :crying:
I'll take any surface or throttle, it doesn't matter to me!
Let's use a couple of big LiPo batteries in parallel if it's electric.
If gas we should use some LiPo's that I have!
We could use 1 for 2 recievers and the other one for the other 2 recievers!
jonkoppisch - September 11, 2009 10:59 PM (GMT)
To finish it off right we need some kind of explosive device to set on when we crash!!!!! ;)
Heli... I want to be a long way away when you try that one. Nothing like an out of control set of lawnmower blades buzzing around...

For those of you who were not at the last club meeting, the R word is just not a good one to use here on the forum...
jonkoppisch - September 12, 2009 12:04 AM (GMT)
That's pretty bad when you can't say the 'R' word... Next you wont be able to say the 'T' word either...
Are they monitoring the forum? I only thought that the govt did that...
Hey, just ran across a 'Star' (can you say that word?) that showed up at the field the other week....
