Title: October Scale Fly-in
Description: ACMA Scale Fly-in
Billyfrost - October 4, 2004 12:09 PM (GMT)
I went to the KOAST monthly meeting in Ocean Springs on Sunday. They have graciously extended an invitation to ACMA to have our previously cancelled scale Fly-in at their field. They will provide all food and facilities, the only cost will be $5.00 landing fee which includes lunch. I will bring this up at the meeting tomorrow and I hope we can make this Fly-in a go! Also, KOAST has extended an invitation to fly at their field at any time to ACMA members. Their field is in great shape and they have a very nice facility that is similar to ours. Again, these are a great group of guys and their kindness is greatly appreciated.

No problem Tony.
I have hung around there enough to catch on to most everthing and can fake the rest of it for a while.
Just waiting on my Auto Save uniform so can go full time.
I can keep coffee pot full, go for this & go for that, entertain lobby customers, live singing entertainment, test drive vehicles to listen for any strange rattles, clinks, clangs, and roaring noises like i did with Frits' van for yall that day. :hyper:
And make runs to BK Lounge for chili and WallyWorld for bananas.
You just come on over, your crew will take up your slack for just a half day.

<_<
Tony, I meant to come by your store today, 'cause—well... I drove my van to Battleship ark this morning to help Henry package all those raffle prizes for tomorrow's Scale Fly-In. Most of my van works most of the time. The things I asked you to fix appear to work fine.
But... Are you sure Alvin didn't work on it after y'all went to lunch?
I recommend you don't leave him out of your sight when he's in your store "just visiting"...

Oh no no no...They all pull up stools and watch and learn.
I have told them so much about my mechanic shop I used to have behind my used car lot in Thomasville.
Remember, it was called "Honest Al, the Poor Man's Pal".
Up under that it said "Don't Lament, No Down Payment".
My most amazeing trick was how to fix a leakie radiator with ground black pepper we got from BK Lounge in those little packets.
So, if your van smells a little like pepper under the hood, you will know why.
If leaks anymore than before, we can go for the perminate fix, use red pepper.
Sort of like that red locktite, I reckon. :hyper:

OK, just to let yall know that I managed to get up/  awake before breakfast at this ungodly time of day.
Got a truck full of food and cooking stuff and fixing to head for the Battleship.
I am sure Ray will have coffee going and I will start boiling grits, frying eggs, cooking sausage, and toast with plenty of butter and jelly for all.
Come on over, see you there or be square.

I am thanking Jon also for the nice pictures.
David,
Glad you attended event and had a good time. I enjoyed the day also.
Hope you got plenty to eat. I was worried that you were not getting enough food on your plate.
Later that afternoon...lots of us went to our Irvington Field and did some flying.
Homer and I worked on his new still under construction "I Can Do 3D" airplane.
I also helped do away with some of the food left over from Battleship cooking.
Got home all tired, sleepy, and over stuffed.
Took a few hours nap.
Got up around mid-nite to check my online stuff and change clocks to new time.
Now can't remember if we supposed to Fall Back or Fall Farward.
Oh Well, will get it all sorted later today as I am either early or late for things.
Back to bed now to finish out sleep...Got to work on Homer's plane some more Sunday and do more cooking/eating.
