I think he is going to do it

Mike - June 4, 2008 03:22 AM (GMT)
I suspect he'll bring out a plane to test fly on Friday, won't be able to keep the engine running, but will lumber through the events until he demolishes it during an attempted high speed inverted limbo pass.

alvinonline - June 4, 2008 05:55 AM (GMT)
I heard that Frits is moving to electric powered airplanes, no peskie needle valves to adjust.
:itsok:

Crash Kit - June 7, 2008 01:56 AM (GMT)
Frits was out at the field today doing flight testing with his new plane. It needs some fine tuning but he did have it in the air. :woohoo:

Armageddon is over and I think it was a success! The flying was good and the food was superb. The crashes were slim, (most were before the event started), but it was alot of fun. Thanks to all that put in the hard work to make the event a success!

(most were before the event started),

The crash of my new Predator was caused by not checking the control surfaces before taking off, a stupid mistake. (It flew it the day before, so I assumed...)

I had apparently knocked the aileron trim switch all the way to the left, causing a nice left half roll into the ground... Broken left and bottom fuse, engine and fire wall came off, wing mounting blocks came out too, V-tail ripped out...

But it's almost all back together!

Frits,

I was making a statement of fact. It was not intended to single you, or anyone else, out. There were several more crashes besides you.

 What??, NO Pictures???

Flying Dutchman - June 9, 2008 09:09 PM (GMT)
Mr. FrostyBilly, absolutely no offense taken...

I simply use the  smily a lot because there's no :idontgivea$hit: smily available!...

Pictures? You want pictures?
Of crashes — right, Robert?

Here's my Predator about one hour before the competition started...

Well, it allowed me to take more pictures.
Like this one of a nice inverted limbo pass.

Some, like Tommy, were not so lucky!

Rob tried his knife-edge limbo pass, but he went into the ground prematurely...

And Jeff got a hold of my camera while I was training one of my students...
I should have known better than to leave it lying around. He's done this to me several times over the last 15 years... The man is disgusting and just ain't right...

 Thanks for the Pictures. I hated to miss all the fun.
Sounds like the event was GREAT. I'm going to put tgether a SPADFEST 08 report, but it may take a few days. My favorite plane there was a coraplast 1/4 scale Spitfire.

Crazy Clown, :spin: :spin: Thanks for the GPS, it saved my life & 250 miles on the return trip.
