Title: Plane out of storage

Bill - May 5, 2008 12:18 AM (GMT)
After a long lay off from flying due to work, I want to get my plane back flying again. Is there anything in particular I need to do to the plane to get it ready? I have fired up the engine this weekend and it sounds fine. I also checked all the connections and such....anything else?

Looking forward to coming back out to the field and becoming a member!

Plane is:

Avistar
Engine OS 46AX

Radio:
Futaba T6EX

Thanks,
Bill

-Also can I just bring my membership application with me and give to Frits?

You sure can, Bill. (... which Bill?...) I plan to be at the field this weekend.

Also be sure you have renewed or applied for your AMA membership.
If not, you can do so online at www.modelaircraft.org

If you need more info about our club, email me at fjetten@aol.com

If your equipment has been laid up a while, don't just charge your batteries, cycle them a few times (transmitter & on-board pack).

Thanks. I appreciate the responses. I hadn't thought about cycling the batteries.

Frits...which Bill am I... now that's a tough one to answer, but I will try.
The good looking one. (had to say it)

The one that had a 2.4 Futaba radio with that needed the square plug to the buddy box, we all read the manual on.
The one that was learning on the Avistar when Russel was finishing training and starting to solo.

When I got re-assigned at work and stopped coming to the field, I had just started my touch and goes.

Thanks again!
Bill
