Anyone THAT picky needs to not participate and just eat the stuff they bring themselves...
I noticed in the past you ate whatever was there — including what you mentioned — with no hesitation...

TJR - February 17, 2008 05:12 PM (GMT)
Here in Fourchon, LA, the front just moved through. The temperature dropped 10+ degrees and the winds are now blowing at 12-15 mph from the West. Good luck to anyone going to brave the weather for combat.
Flying Dutchman - February 17, 2008 06:52 PM (GMT)
I see it coming...
Don Koval - February 18, 2008 03:31 AM (GMT)
Combat, Sunday Feb 17th 2008
So you thought combat was going to get rained out did ya :P
Well as it turned out we just had about a 35 minute delay :)
At about 2:15 the rain stoped and the sky started to clear up,so I told the guys to get there planes ready. Justin Peacock, Robert Sanderson, and Johnny Turner.
By the time thay got there planes ready, and Robert did a quick test flight the sun was out. The first round got under way at about 2:45 in a nice blue sky
All three guys had slight midair hits but were able to keep on flying.
In the 2nd round,it got cloudy, but it didn't rain :) Robert and Justin took each other out with a midair :o Both planes totaled. But Robert had another plane standing by for just this sort of thing.
In round 3, Robert's motor quit about three minutes in  Thay both had 3 points going into this round, but with Robert's motor quitting he did not complete the round, so Johnny got the 4th point to win
"Congraulations To Johnny Turner",
February 2008 combat champ  ( this is Johnny's 2nd win this season)
Next Combat, March 16th 2008
Thanks to everyone for all the good food
We had a "GOOD" day

Great day! Great food!
After the midair Justin's plane was toast... :o

Amazingly, Robert's HOR ("He|| On Rails") was pretty much okay:

Johnny was Da Man, though — by one stinking point... Congrats, Johnny!

Here's a photo by Elton. Robert's Kite Plane flew briefly.
(Tail-heavy? Yup...) :yickes: It was Fritsed...

The day turned out great!...

Combat with 3 planes instead of just pushing it back a week? Awesome. ;)

Face it Mike, combat is for the strong willed and brave of heart. :pirate:
Some of yawl are becoming bench warmers like my combat team pilot <_< and would rather stay home and watch NASCAR and weather radar than get in the fray.
Even suffering with cold/flu/newmonia/dread mogus  :crying:  :toiletpaper: :toiletpaper: and under influence of drugs, I was there just in case rest of my team showed. Even had a special cub combat prop with me.
But, the excellent food was worth the trip and the weather gods smiled on combat with clearing up for event and rest of day. :cloud9: :cloud9:
Mike - February 18, 2008 02:04 PM (GMT)
You're right, I just don't have what it takes. I might have to hang up my streamer. :(

Well, I still had a good time! :D
The food was good, the sun came out after 2:30, and we had a perfect sky.
But I guess it was due for my plane to go to airplane heaven. It has survived 4 combats and 8 midairs.
