Title: Wednesday Flying...

Flying Dutchman - February 14, 2008 12:45 AM (GMT)
Robert is at it again!
He came to the field with his latest, a Stunt Kite Froggy Corplast Aluminum SPAD Thingy plane... (Hey, I don't know!...)

Here it is. Prepare yourself!):

I took it up without the frog part, AND IT ACTUALLY FLEW a couple of circuits!

But right before landing, at slow speed and about 15 ft. above the grass, it turned hard into a spin and crashed. (What else is new?...) The vertical piece of yard stick (what else?) and the motor mount broke, but Robert promises it'll be ready again this weekend!

Robert also brought his Mini HOR ("He|| On Rails").
We both flew it, and it flew very well. Robert plans to use it in combat this Sunday:

 The Toad Moto Kite ( Auto kite ) flies very well. It was too windy for a test flight, But that didn't stop US. We also learned a lot about the auto kite flight Habits. The speed of the engine determines the nose angle of the kite. ( I had no ideal) I am going to reinforce the main mast. YES , He FRITZED IT . on the landing. :yickes: That was more a HIGH wind problem, than Pilot error.

Seems as if we have the same problem!
I bring 2 planes that fly to the field and 1 comes home in a box or bag! <_<

Robert, Robert, Robert,

Haven't you heard that there are several proven designs by manufactors such as
Sig, Great Planes, and Goldberg.

Anyway, one day there is going to be a model called the Sanderson Special :bigplane:

Heyyy.. If ya can't talk about your Buds.. then who can you talk about????

Kite looked pretty kewl.. Leave it to Robert to design, find, or build something different. I'm still suprised that the Trumpet (or Coronet) pictured elsewhere in Forum didn't have a Wing on it. :yickes:

:bigplane: Damage was little. Broke the main mast, (I renforced the new one) and broke the engine mount. I should have it ready soon. LATER , I might put wheels on it.

:D Yea, I have some of them. :parachute: But they are not as COOL as a flying toad kite thingy plane.
