Title: My Reformating Adventure
Description: a real adventure.
alvinonline - January 11, 2008 09:24 AM (GMT)
Due to my computer getting all cloged up and corrupted because of five years since last OS install, I did a reformat of hard drive and new OS and data install.
Ran into problem during reformat (sort of like a clean brain labotomy).
Of course by now the computer was in no condition to boot up so I could not go online to find some help.
Had to crank up my nice little slow laptop to get online and find help.
Hooked up at 14K.
But it is working as I am typing this on the laptop now.
Found just the information I needed with google and got the hard drive formated.
The new OS is installing now.
Then install my software and data files from backup.
Wish me luck.

Remember, Jon, a Mac can run Windows, not the other way around!

Sooo, what did you upgrade to? Windows 98?... Just curious. :hmm:
Or are you now up to snuff with a 21st century OS?

When the fellow sold me this computer ten years ago, he said that it would prob be the only one I would ever need.
He seemed to think that P II 233 would be about as fast as they could get and memory was so high priced that 32 megs would be all any home user would want to spend.
Now, where did that Racer company go to? :crying:

It's a way of life and always has been since they were invented!
I just know that every three or four years I will buy the latest Mac model, as I have in the last 12 years. You have never ever heard me complain, and you never will!
Except I have to turn my beautiful Mac into a Windows PC to be able to run a flight simulator... <_<
