Very funny you guys

don't you ever enjoy the sceneary?
Flying Dutchman - January 1, 2008 03:19 PM (GMT)
Nice scenery, Avistar2!
What those guys are saying is, here in the South we also have fog, sun and poles.
We are just not used to seeing those big humpy things in the fog picture, however! :D
So what camera did you use to take the pictures?
Avistar 2 - January 1, 2008 03:25 PM (GMT)
 oh a HP photosmart E327 digital camrea.
Flying Dutchman - January 1, 2008 06:35 PM (GMT)
My older camera is like yours. It's a HP Photosmart R707.
I still have it. It's my backup camera.
I now use a Kodak Easyshare Z612.

Hey, hey! ... Don't forget — they work on Macs too!

Ummm, right... :hmm:
Other good things:
They are compact.
They can hold hundreds of pictures.
You can look at what you took and delete it and retake it.
You can take the memory card out, stick it in your printer and print the pictures.
The bad things are:
Automatic focusing can be slow, causing a delay between when you press the shutter button and when the picture is actually taken. (That REALLY ticks me off!)
Response in dim light can be slow.
Pictures taken in dim light can be terribly dark, even with flash.
Pictures in low light without flash are almost always useless.
The flash effectively ranges no farther than about 8 ft.
Other than that, I like 'em okay!
Avistar 2 - January 2, 2008 12:50 AM (GMT)
most of them are on auto
other wise you need a steady hands or at least a stand for them

If I'm take some RC pictures it in a diffrent thread
this is a scenary thread
Hey dutchman do you what ISO speed is and EV comphession is ?
I thought I ask you so I know.
Flying Dutchman - January 2, 2008 02:43 PM (GMT)
Of course... :D
Let's see if I can remember...
ISO - ISO stands for International Standards Organization, a non-government body that oversees the creation and application of uniform standards. It's a camera’s sensitivity to light. The higher the ISO speed, the greater sensitivity to light. However, high ISO speeds often result in images that are grainy or have artifacts.
EV - Denotes all combinations of camera shutter speed and relative aperture that give the same exposure. The exposure value for a short exposure time is higher than it is for a long exposure time. So for the images of a bracketed series the following is true: the darker the image the higher its exposure value. EV is used to simplify choosing among combinations of equivalent camera settings.
Compression - Image compression is minimizing the size in bytes of a graphics file without degrading the quality of the image to an unaccceptable level. The reduction in file size allows more images to be stored in a given amount of disk or memory space. It also reduces the time required for images to be sent over the Internet or downloaded from Web pages.
What else do you want to know?
Avistar 2 - January 2, 2008 04:03 PM (GMT)
I think that's it
Thank you dutchman

New photos
ULYRA LIGHT

Look very the pilot could be Alvin
TJR - January 19, 2008 11:23 PM (GMT)
If itwere Alvin, then it wouldn't be ultra-light! :roflmao:
Flying Dutchman - January 19, 2008 11:53 PM (GMT)
It wouldn't have been airborne...
:D
Avistar 2 - January 20, 2008 01:08 AM (GMT)
Nice photo of a Ultralight yes.
Flying Dutchman - January 20, 2008 01:21 AM (GMT)
We DO have them here too, you know? :P
TONY F - January 20, 2008 01:45 AM (GMT)
Just glad it's not those poles. :hysterical:
Flying Dutchman - January 20, 2008 02:27 AM (GMT)
We have poles too!
I remember when one of my students flew right into one of our poles with his trainer plane... :yickes:
The pole survived...
Avistar 2 - January 20, 2008 03:02 AM (GMT)
Flying Dutchman.
That's a kitplane not a ultralight <_<

Ya but, you told him to line up with the pole :)
Flying Dutchman - January 20, 2008 01:31 PM (GMT)
Yep, he followed my order to the letter, Don!
Avistar2, in your earlier post you specifically said "New photos ULYRA LIGHT", which I assumed meant ULTRA light. (Sometimes — no, most of the time — it's hard to tell WHAT you mean...)
Now you are saying it's NOT an ultra light (or ulyra light). <_<
WHAT is it then? (At this point of the argument it doesn't matter if it's a model or a full-scale plane.)
Mike - January 20, 2008 04:16 PM (GMT)
I think he's suggesting that his picture was of an ultralight, but yours is of a kit plane. He is, of course, wrong.
BenHere - January 20, 2008 04:36 PM (GMT)
Flying Dutchman - January 20, 2008 05:21 PM (GMT)
I guess that was a model figure of the pilot, our Roger Geil? :o
I give up!
%^&*∞§¶•ªº! <_<
4star40 - January 20, 2008 06:32 PM (GMT)
Good Lord.. Here we go..... <_<
Avistar 2 - January 21, 2008 12:01 AM (GMT)
<_< OK Your right Flying Dutchman

Looks like a baby Cessna
Flying Dutchman - January 21, 2008 12:40 AM (GMT)
Okay, fine, Avistar2... <_<
In your photograph, are those miniature models of the houses and that vehicle, or are those full-scale houses and a live-size car?
Because if those are models, the "baby Cessna" is really lilliputian... (... just for you, Don ...)
 <_<
Avistar 2 - January 21, 2008 01:50 AM (GMT)
That the real thing Flying Dutchman
It's no Rc model A real Ultralight.
Trust me I was there, it's the real thing
Avistar 2 - January 21, 2008 02:10 AM (GMT)
What you see here might look boring
but to RC model pilot it's the perfect spot to fly Rc planes and helis

Possable runways

Nice clearing for great flights

Nice parking area

AWAY from traffic

I don't think this privite land
but it make a good area for flying RC airplane and helis
Flying Dutchman - January 21, 2008 02:23 AM (GMT)
Nice, but a bit boring!
Here, at our field, we have such good pilots that we don't need a whole county to fly in. We actually land on a rather small runway (that is — most of us, most of the time) rather than a whole prairie... <_<
Did anyone ever hit a prairie dog, Avistar2?
Avistar 2 - January 21, 2008 02:26 AM (GMT)
No
But you only need enough room as far as TX can transmitted to the model
but if talking small area than the bunch of you are RC heli pilots
model helis don't need much room
GOOD PILOTS <_< Yeah sure
No such thing Flying ducthman You must make room for error
 Come on who are you kidding?
you must have crashed in your time.
paladine28 - January 21, 2008 03:23 AM (GMT)
no he NEVER crashes or makes mistakes :hysterical: :hysterical:
