jonkoppisch - December 30, 2007 01:36 AM (GMT)
OOOOPPPPPSSSSS!!!! I wasn't my trailer but a local flier from the Baton Rouge area...

Thanks

Jon

Hey guys. I got my trailer stolen last night. ALL my rc equipment was inside ready to go sunday morning. My planes, fueling equipment, charging equipment, tools even my chairs and extension coards.

If anyone in the Baton Rouge area sees anything, would you please contact me at msimon19@cox.net or 225-978-0893.

My trailer is a "TOP HAT, Titan" 6x10 enclosed WHITE single axle trailer. The rims are white, single rear door and side door on the right side. There have been decals removed that say "Team / RC" the decal residue is still noticable. There is an AMA decal on the front of the trailer.

Inside my trailer was:

30% Aviation Models Yak 54 (orange / blue / white version, lots of decals and my name on the canopy)
3W55cs
Hitec servos : 5985's and 5955's

OMP Yak 54 with OS 55ax. Also with hitec servos 625mg's

JR 9303 radio, channel 58 inside JR transmitter Box.

Spad combat plane.

ALos, my buddys YS 63 was inside my tool box which had assorted rc related tools and spare parts.

I itemized the contents when the police report was filed and it exceeded 7000.00. Seeing that really hurt.

PLEASE PLEASE keep your eyes open for anything if you live in the Louisiana area.

Thanks again!

Jon, from reading the posts in that other forum I sorta get that it was stolen in Louisiana?

I will also send a message to my surrounding club contacts.

I believe that it was in the Baton Rouge LA area.

Thanks

Jon

That's why it pays to re-read that message "one more time" before posting or sending it, and picture who's the recipient, and what they'll get out of it... One day I'll tell you a horror story that happened to me while I worked at Chevron and sent one that went awry...

Oh well, no damage done here. I have broadcast that message all over the world now!
I hope someone spots the trailer and the missing stuff... :)

I sent a copy of your post to all our club members and all my club contacts in the area ranging from Pensacola to Huntsville, and from New Orleans to Tennessee!

As a matter of fact, this is what I just got from Owen Maupin, one of AMA District V Vice Presidents.

"The ba$tard is probably headed to TN with it. You don't have to title or tag non-commercial trailers in TN.
I'm sorry to hear the news. We'll keep our eyes open for it.
Owen Maupin, Chattanooga, TN."

Hey,
No mistake... They can return the items to me anytime ;)

It looks like they found the equipment from the trailer, just not the trailer....

Well some good news. All of the contents of the trailer were thrown in a dumpster in morgan city. From what the police officer said everything looks to be in the same shape it was when stolen. The trailer however has not been found. it is an all white single axle cargo trailer with the words RC badly faded on the side. If you see this trailer please call the number listed in my first post. Thanks!
