Avistar 2, we are all modelers on this forum. <_<

Unless we are talking about food and drinks, RC stands for Radio Control.

Avistar 2 - December 28, 2007 05:56 PM (GMT)
Don't you mean Aero RCers?
modelers means putting together plastic airplanes that you buy for $ 20 bucks
from a local hobby shop.
by the way flying dutchman where's your sense of humor?
any way it funny I like it
I wish they have pilot yourself to imagation how that must look?

Oh, of course I WILL comment... Who's going to stop me?

"Modeling" in this case means "building a miniature representation of an existing object". Look it up... <_<

That includes trains, buildings, tanks, cars, boats, rockets, plastic airplanes, etc., and.... those that are Radio Controlled.

By the way — I have NEVER heard of us being referred to as Aero RCers, but then, what do I know?... <_<

Avistar 2 - December 28, 2007 07:09 PM (GMT)
I did
but it also says you guys are model pilots
MODEL pilots
meaning : a person who puts together a model of airplanes
that has nitro or electric power and radio revicer and servos.
?????
Ok this should be on it 's thread for debate
went off track here.

SORRY...

jonkoppisch - December 28, 2007 07:15 PM (GMT)

By definition, Avistar2, a "model pilot" could mean two things:

1. An outstanding person, an example to be emulated. (I don't know any personally...) <_<

2. In our case (RC — remember that other thread?) a "model pilot" would be a tiny, miniature likeness of a real pilot, oh, about 6 to 10 inches high, inanimate, something we can stuff in the cockpit of our model airplanes...
