Title: New scale project starting soon
lrogers - December 7, 2007 02:50 AM (GMT)
The next scale project is offically on order! :cloud9: After Christmas, I'll start converting a Vigor CS into a Sea King. I'm leaning toward painting it up it like Marine One, the president's helo, but a USCG SAR bird isn't out of the running.
The plan is to have a 5 blade main and tail rotor. I'm even thinking about trying my hand at panel lines and rivets. First order of business will be converting the Vigor to a torque tube drive.
Since this is a Christmas, even after it arrives (hopefully middle of next week) I won't be allowed to touch it until the 25th! :hmm:

Larry,
What scale fuse kit are you going with?
I vote for Marine One.

The unpainted kit from Century. I've seen samples on RR that several others have built and it looks like a nice kit.

That is the one that I figured to were getting.
Makes a nice looking chopper either way you paint it.
And with five blade head and four blade tail rotor, will look sweet. :cloud9:

Century Scale Kit Page - Click HereThe court case must be over as I see where Century got back the right to sell there Bell scale kits as an authorized Bell name user.

Yeah, and the prices didn't sky rocket like I thought they would. Still haven't seen the Bell 47 listed back on the site though.

Well, I have to say I'm partial to the USCG Pelican option myself, but anything you decide would go with will still be awesome.

A mean looking Special Ops bird would look sweet.

The big brown truck brought a big brown box yesterday! I was allowed to openit and inspect for shipping damage, but then had to box it back up and lide it under the tree.
This kit is SWEET!
