At the field today I used my Hobbico field charger to charge my transmittery battery, the battery is a 9.6 volt nimh and the battery took a long time to charge. The charger never beeped or switched over to trickle. The battery was so hot I took it out of the transmitter to cool off. After about half hour I tried it again. Only charged it to fly my plane 1 time. I switched the charger jacks and charged up the airplane battery and that charged ok and beebed and went to trickle charge ok. Charged the transmitter battery a second time and it charged and the charger beebed and swit :bangheadched to trickle charge. What would cause the battery or charger to behave this way???? :banghead:

If you were charging that MiMH as a NiCd. :o That might do it .........

russel, i ran accross a similar problem like that, and i found that the battery you use to charge with, might be pushing the volts, but might not have the amps. that means it's time for a new battery that you are running your fied charger with ;)
