I thought Tibbie was so small that it couldn't be divided into a north and a south... :D
But you say y'all grow them big there, eh? :P

Okay we are charging up now, who is going???
4star40 - November 24, 2007 04:12 PM (GMT)
So who wants to fly the infamous yaaaak this time???
Mike - November 24, 2007 06:07 PM (GMT)
I would, but I'm still counting on the rain to show up and heading to lunch in Bayou la Batre. If it holds out I'll stop in and visit on the way back to Mobile.
alvinonline - November 24, 2007 11:18 PM (GMT)
I showed up around 2:00 and several folks were present.
They had the fireplace going strong.
Little Tony was a no show and Frits said that he and Rene had gone fishing at Progressive Marine store.
I flew my Titan/ium chopper a couple of times.
They wind was blowing enough to make doing autos easy and I did a bunch of them.
Justin showed how to do touch and goes with his "Slowstick" electric plane on the smallest most unusual landing deck to date. :yickes:
He did quite a few. Mike got some pictures of this feat and promised to post them on forum later.
Justin's new little electric duct fan plane did not fair so well with it's demise blamed on radio glitches. There is a nice little six channel reciever in the trash barrel if anyone wants it.
Mike - November 25, 2007 12:40 AM (GMT)
Indeed it was a day of excitement, despite a rather small showing of participants. I showed up just in time for Justin to light up the skies with entertainment. First there was the glitching Micro-Jet. It crashed, then flew, then sort of crashed again, then flew, then landed. There were a couple of glitches, so Justin opted for a good range check. Apparently he didn't want to do a lot of walking though so to range check the plane he just flew it again. If I'm not mistaken, I believe it failed the range check:

Once that was done he fired up the Slow Stick. Not one to be lulled to sleep by the usual Slow Stick antics, he picked it up a notch and opted for some touch and go attempts...on some sort of runway...

And yes, several were successful:

I had to go in for a closer look:

All in all a good time, and I was only there about an hour.
4star40 - November 25, 2007 02:03 AM (GMT)
Hey Justin, how about that antenna throttle control...
Don Koval - November 25, 2007 05:51 AM (GMT)
Thats a nice runway you have there Justin  With the Brit type Ski Jump ramp and all

I'm glad Jeff Foster gave me all those nice pictures to post in this thread. B)
