Hey guys, I need some help. A buddy of mine has a FunKey H500E made for Hirobo Shuttle mechanics and he has asked me to mount the mechanics for him. The mounting method on this one is WAY different than the .50 size.

This one has (1) piece fiber glass landing struts, front and rear, that mount to the frames and are then epoxied to the bottom of the fuselage. I'm not real thrilled with this because it appears (with the limited directions provided) that access for later removal of the mechanics will be limited, to say the least. :banghead:

What I have come with, so far, is to:
1. insert the struts in the fuselage
2. mount the mechanics temporarily
3. mark the location of the struts with the machanics aligned
4. remove the mechanics/struts
5. scuff up the mounting locations and underside of the struts
6. epoxy and glass the struts to the bottom of fuselage
7. after everything sets up, drill through the bottom of the fuselage using the struts as a guide so the mounting bolts can be accessed through the bottom.
8. remount the mechanics and send the bird home.

Am I on the right track or am I making this a lot harder than it needs to be? Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. I want to do a good job for my friend.
