Title: groovy

I have recently gotten a Groovy 50 like tony's and when I put the wings in it the have about an 1/8-1/4 inch of play up and down at the wingtips.... If I wrap tape around the wing tube to get rid of the play will It be okay? The wingtube is in there fairly solid.

L.T., does it feel like the wings are moving on the tube or is it more like the tube is moving inside the fuselage? I think once you determine exactly where the play is it would hurt to wrap a layer of tape around the tube to tighten things up. Besides, you're just going to sell this plane in a month anyway, what are the chances it would fail before then? B)

The wing tube is moving inside the fiberglass tube in the fuse.
.........I have gone through to much crap with this one to give it up, that and I dont think dad would let me its his motor on it :D ....THANKS DAD!!

Yeah, just wrap a layer of electrical or masking tape around the tube in the middle. As long as it's not too thick which makes you have to force it in (which sometimes can be fun) and risk damaging the fiberglass tube in the fuse, you'll be just fine.

I put some tape on it and its okay, I guess it will work I am going to try to have it out tomarrow, maybe fly it I am not sure. Yes in ways the plane sucks balls but it isnt that bad it is a nice plane and will probably fly good. Fortunately it dosent suck as much balls a Mr. Slappy. :roflmao: When I called them they laughed and said that that much play in the wings was just fine, I think it is them who suck balls........

ITS DONE!! Finally it is done and will hopefully fly soon. I tell you what I have never had so much trouble from an ARF. Now to see how it will fly!

ya darn skippy there slappy! I got a new prop, I was running a 13x7 on that OS 55. It was a little big and landed fast!! Soooo I got a 12x6 to solve the problem and it flies very well!! I'll let yeah fly it a little..
