Title: HELP!!!!`

I have a trex 450 and I am having range problems, when the motor is not turning I get full range (~100ft) when the motor is one I get roughly that but little glitches here and there, If I went to a PCM reciver would that fix the problem?? It has lots of graphite and aluminium on it, maybe that plays a role??

PCM would mask the short duration glitches.

What kind of reciever antenna you useing? Regular or whip?
And how do you have it positioned in relation to chopper frame and motor?

I am using a whip antenna and it is mounted about 2" at the closest spot from the motor on the skids.

You might try mounting the base of whip antenna up front on radio crate somewhere and running wire part right toward front through a little hole in nose of canopy.

That will get it as far removed from motor and speed control as possible probably.
See if that makes an inprovement in range.

Also, maybe there is some kind of additional noise supression capacitor you could add to motor.

I read an article that says to wrap the speed control wires through a Ferrite ring to avoid this on an electric also. I can't exactly remember the article to be exact on how to do this though.
If I find it I'll let you know!
