Title: Piper Cub ARF
Description: Opinions

Sunday afternoon (2/25), several of the "North-Enders" had large, beautiful J-3 Cubs (Al's being my personal favorite :D ). Now I've got the bug to have one. Problem is, I don't have a good place to build a kit :( , so it has to be an ARF. Who's is the the best? I know... opinions are like :fullmoon: , but I've recently bought a couple of ARF's that were not as well engineered as I had hoped for. The bigger, the better!

I think the one that Joe was flying was a 1/4 scale world models cub

I don't remember which company (I think Great Planes or Goldberg), but I'm pretty sure one of them has an ARF that is fabric covered instead of Monokote/Ultracote. I think that'd be the way I'd go, though from what I remember it wasn't as large as the 1/4 scale and the like. Maybe 40 size or so.

The top of the line is the Dave Patrick Cub

Yes the Dave Patrick stuff is real nice but good luck getting one... Rob has had one on order for Scotty for 6 months, lol

Anyway here is the biggest arf I think...not sure on the quality or anything but its BIG!

That one might be a little too big for now :yickes: . I'm a bit of an impulse buyer, but now that it's been a week, the impulse is wearing off some. I've got to fly the airplanes I have now before I go buying another "Hangar Queen".

Aww now TJR, you know that you want it, go ahead and get it.

I likes to see those big yellow Cubs flying around.
In hot weather, they make some good shade. :P
