taking fri,sat and sun off nomatter what.I was wondering if someone could be
ther to put me on a trainer box and help me adjust my 4 month old new airplane.?
I would really appreciate it.I know I have to have a licensed trainee,so I will even pay for your time.thanks kenny2

Mustangman - February 22, 2007 03:32 PM (GMT)

kenny2 - February 22, 2007 04:56 PM (GMT)
Okiedokie, thank you.I thought I thought I had to have a certain person that was
a teacher or something. thank you.kenny2

kenny2 - February 23, 2007 02:40 AM (GMT)
Well I guess I will be the only one out at the field Friday and sat and sunday.this will
give me at least 3 airplanes to try to learn on. I have a ama card and dont know
how to fly yet so what the heck, its only money. If yall want to see possably some
good crashes be out from 12 on if the weather looks good.I guess I will be my trainer.
Yall bring your cameras,it may get good.you only live twice.kenny2 :parachute:

lol, just bring the planes on out Kenny... I'm sure someone will help out. Remember, not everyone is online so when you get out ask for help!!!!

kenny2 - February 23, 2007 12:43 PM (GMT)
Its nobiggie,I was just joking around.I am sure someone will be there.i know not
eveyone is online and will be glad to help.I think though that in the past cause I missed one meeting and havnt been flying yet since I first joined,(some) people
must think I quit.I have either been sick, working, building hog traps over the holidays,
relapsing over that(I had a big fire with those and a weenie roast).I even built a few planes.my skin also dont fair to good with cold weather.I love the club,I am not
going anywhere.I have been flying on the simulator some also.I just had to do some
work while the weather was good.I am gonna be out today after lunch,if I dont
fly,I will break everything in and get it ready.thanks for writing me back kenny2.

Kenny, Kenny, Kenny...

Don't get so stressed out over this first flight thing.
First of all, only a small number of club members visit this Forum, so they don't all know that you are stressed out and begging on the Internet for help...

Now I admit I haven't been to the field a lot lately (by my standards, which is every weekend, Saturday AND Sunday) what with Mardi Gras and other things in my life (and unlike others, I DO have one...).

But the other three ACMA instructors have been there every weekend, and they have done a fine job assisting those who need it. The other official instructors are: David Lanzo, Steve Drake and Tal Fowler. The only one who has been missing is YOU! <_<

You should also realize that not all skilled RC pilots are willing to take you up. It is true that ANY AMA member willing to take that risk can assist you and take you up on the buddy box, but many won't.

So be there or be square! We'll help you.

But don't try it on your own...
With thier vast experience, the instructors could probably do a much more thorough job crashing your plane... :yickes:

kenny2 - February 23, 2007 04:13 PM (GMT)
If you look back at my starting topic,I did ask and yes it sounded like i was begging.
But,I also stated that i was joking.I am NOT gonna take my plane up until I
have someone there on the box and more expert than I am.I asked if I had to have
a certain person (instructor)on the box and andy said anyone with ama
"that maybe willing to help me".I regret not being there like I should be but,Like you
said.I have a life and my life involves mostly around bills and I have to work when I can.I do not have a steady job so I do what I can when I can.I am not complaining
at all,I was just picking cause my wife stated that I had enough planes now, that
crashing a couple wouldnt hurt.thats where I came up with that last topic.the
only thing I am gonna do when I come out today is adjust everything and break
break the engine in and get the bugs out.this is the way that MAYBE it will be ready for sat or sun due to the weather,to fly.so thats it. kenny2

kenny2 - February 24, 2007 04:10 PM (GMT)
Well,I did get a chance to fly yesterday(oh that was on the simulator).I got to the
field and Elton was there.I want to thank him for helping me adjust the radio and engine.
Its seems to run fine but,not sure if I did break it in right. My biggest ? now is-
Who put the HEX on me with this wind.?I wasnt scared yesterday with hardly any wind,,
now-I am shaking in my shoes.well we will see how it goes.maybe it will die down
some afternoon.fingers crossed kenny2

NO KENNY.

Avistar 2 - February 25, 2007 04:14 AM (GMT)
A study birdy might be thing until you find
it's a ugly plane and if you crash it won't hurt it.

Flying Dutchman - February 25, 2007 11:43 AM (GMT)
 <_<

kenny2 - February 25, 2007 05:28 PM (GMT)
I may have to build me a sturdy birdy or a spad trainer the way it looks.I was talking
about flying the simulator due to the way this weather is.I was also picking when
I said I flew that day and it was on the simulator.I didnt even ask elton to help me at all to take off.just cause I said I wasnt scared doesnt mean I was gonna try it.
Also it was a picking thing also when I asked who put the hex on me about the
weather.I will watch next time how I write stuff in.I didnt mean for it to sound
like I was throwing mud.It just seems like the weather is not on my side at all.

Kenny,

We did great today! Actually, YOU did great! We got that Avistar in the air and you flew it just fine. I'm proud of you, not only for flying your plane, but for trusting my instructor abilities even after I crashed Robert's Corsair when its horizontal stab came apart. :yickes:

I saw how big your eyes got when — after the crash — I said: "Who's next? —— Oh, that's right. You're next, Kenny! Let's go!"

We'll do it again next week!

kenny2 - February 26, 2007 02:08 AM (GMT)
Thank you Fritz,I really coulnt do it without you.I know that anything could happen
at anytime.that was just a freak thing on the corsair. We have some great teachers there and I am glad to be learning to fly at that field.the plane did good,I just couldnt
hear it when it quit.I will get the switch fixed and the front.I am glad to see it fly
and thank you so so much for having patiance with me.I hope the weather is great next week and I hope to see yall there.kenny2
