alvinonline - February 21, 2007 08:13 PM (GMT)
This picture was taken somewhere in Mobile County.
Lets see who can come up with who the pilot is (a current ACMA member), what airplane, what flying field, and about what year.
Dewey Brown, the pilot, has been correctly guessed by Frits.1975, the year, has been correctly guessed by Tony.Saint Elmo Airport, the field, has been correctly guessed by Tony.

I think it the combat coordinator!
Just guessing and probably in the early 70's. :D

TJR and Johnny, Yawl are wrong on the guesses except for Johnny getting close on the date, he is in the right decade.

Boy Tony, that is some good guessing. <_< :D
How about another "Crunchy Taco"?
Tony is correct on the Date, Field, and my car.
Frits already guessed pilot Dewey.
Only thing left is what is name of model.

How about another "Crunchy Taco"?
That might help me to remember the name of that plane
alvinonline - February 22, 2007 09:17 PM (GMT)
That gives me an idea.
"The Crunchy Taco" (hoblo espanole - "el taco crujiente") might be good name for my new combat wing design that I am working on.
A hint for the name of Dewey's old airplane = It is a food.
It was a contending pattern plane back in mid-seventies and was a Don Coleman design. Don was a dentist and city counsel member during those days in Citronel, AL.
Don and Ron Chigey founded Southern RC Products that later on became Radio South now owned by Tony Stillman. Several original "Southern RC Products" products such as the "Six Shooter" fuel pump and "Southern Sorgum" contact cement now marketed by Dave Brown Products.
