Title: Starter Electric Plane
Description: What is best one/type??
Ormpit Rancid - June 26, 2004 02:40 PM (GMT)
Interested in giving ele powered rc planes a go.
Want one for flying outside and can take some little wind. Maybe like up to five mph.
Can allready fly regular engine powered planes :plane_crash:, but new to electrics.
Maybe something with little better motor than I see on most of them at shops and online. Also want fairly good flight time, 7/8 minutes plus.
What is recomended for a starter and the second type to move on up to later.
Thanks in advance for any/all help.

A good starter plane would be a Firebird commander=$84.99
The next up from that would be a Aerobird challenger=$109.99
The next up from that would be a Aerobird Challenger 2nd edition I guess you would call. It is a bigger than the Aerobird challenge but is $159.99

Thanks for that information Justin.
I have seen those particular ones, but think that i want little better idems.
More fully controlled and not so toy like. :bigplane:
I have regular radios, but understand the need for small/light componates for going in electric powered plane.
Want regular servo controlled elevator, rudder/ailerons, and know that throttle will be controlled by electronic speed controller.
Also don't mind doing some building or assembly of already covered/finished parts.
Thanks again.
