That's funny, I just pulled my Sig Wonder off the shelf and started looking at it. May be more than a couple weeks before I have it ready though, but I'll get to working on it.

It's pretty beaten up anyway, it's been Crashed hard 4 times and rebuilt. I have a Webra .50 that was in all my twists so it won't cost me anything except time, and if it does get trashed I won't be loosing much.

Well I aint scared :yickes: BUT since I asked twice and no one but Frits and Mike (cryptic styles) responded and confirmed that they would be ready, I had other non-RC related projects that took all my time and I did not get my plane ready. I will be ready next week end for sure. :boxers:

I know the concept of non-RC related projects is mind boggling to some and I would normally agree but as good as Margo is about giving me my play time, sometimes she asks me to get other things done around the house and I have to respond or she cuts me back to once a day and that is unacceptable. B)

P.S. Notice how I refrained from saying something mean but funny, like for instance I could have said;
even if Cryptic Styles does show up he probably won't actually be able to get his plane in the air. And if he did it would only be for a few seconds, then something would either break or he would crash it before the combat even begins. So Mike if you do show up and have no one to combat against, then take the oportunity to get your plane flying good and you will be all ready for next week.

I ahd good intentions of competing in combat but i had to run out of town friday nite and i got back this morning but due to the weather(flooding up here) I didnt want to drive down for nothing so if i missedo out my record is 0-1-0 but i dont forsee any provlems in the near future

I did not want to spoil Frits' fun by beating him in combat. He was so enjoying himself strutting around talking about being the only one brave enough to show up ready for battle. :lol:

So Frits won by default because he actually flew (sort of pitiful flights, but flights never the less) his combat wing a couple of times. <_<

Well Andrew started thsi thread and has not posted since but I spoke with him Sunday and he said this Sunday he will have a plane ready and so will I. Others I know of who have committed to this Sunday are Mike Pratt and Frits. Alvin talks alot of smack about the ugly plane, but your guess is as good as mine as to whether or not he will actually participate, I remain skeptical of this myself.

WHO ELSE IS IN ??? Mike M. will you be ready?

Potential combateirs so far include;
Me (99.9% guaranteed to show up with plane in hand ready for battle)
Frits (I think this is pretty sure)
Andrew (full confidence he will show)
Mike M. (feel good about this one too)
Alvin (sure to show but 50% chnace he'll participate)
Mike Pratt (50% chance of arrival, .02% chance his plane will get airborne)

I will take the ownership responsability of bringing the streamers and kite string.

I think we need some sort of prize for the winner, any ideas?

I was in New Orleans and Biloxi this past weekend, and will be in Orange Beach this coming weekend, so I'll try and get in on the next round.

I suspect combat will involve Frits, Steve, and Andrew. Hopefully you guys can have the club's first three plane mid-air collision.

I think a little trophy like the one for the mystery aircraft should be given to the winner each that we compete. we could set up a schedule and have a points race till january and we all chip in and buy a combat plane for the winner. i have my plane ready and i will be there early.

The trophy on the forum sounds good if Alvin is willing to go along with that, but I am against anything that involves putting in money, this hobby sucks enough money out of me already.

As far as a cumulative points race, although that would be fun I say it is a bit early to get that gung ho. let's see if we can actually get one inogural event to happen first then see where it goes from there.

Tony Farmer what about you? you like competition and since the whole "who can advance fastest on learning to fly a helicopter" thing didn't work out for you maybe this is a chance for redemption.

Ironic, you talk about being all talk but I see who is really all talk. Last week when you knew it was safe and there wasn't going to be any combat you were showing that your ugly plane was in the truck and talking about how you were ready to go, but now that it is looking good for this week end you are already making excuses not to be in it. I think you are scared!

Do you remember that everyone who was talking pre-combat smack before Armagedon at least attempted to get in the combat during armagedon except for one wus who talked alot of pre-combat smack prior to Armagedon but failed to even attempt to compete in combat. That wus was you Alvin!! :angry:

i do remember ol' alving wimping out on us at armegeddon. The trophy is all I need along with some bragging rights if i win. Alvin you are going to get out of the cheap seats and into the game if you got the "balls" to enter the arena of combat.

well if you are going to test fly it then the odds of you still having it this week end are down to about half of .0000000000000000000000000000000000000001 % since you will crash it during the test flight.

secondly, it is good to know you will be ready this Saturday, a whole 24 hours before the event is planned.

I have proven my combat skills and courage more times in combat matches that all rest of yawl put together times two.

During Armageddon, I was busy cooking for all youz folks to have something to eat and could not be spared for the mundane thrill of yet another combat victory.

I also have my own Combat Wing design ("Combat Avenger") known by those who have built/flown it, to be about one of the best.

So, yawl can't tell me a thing about combat.
Just keep on blowing smoke up each other's Arses and get ready to battle for second place.

Dont know bout the rest of "yawl" but I'm bout tired of the "I had to cook so I couldn't fly combat" excuse, think we ought to think up some new ones for him, so at least i wont be bored when he backs out on sunday.
