Well..... I got the part I needed for my radio, so I can fly next week! So I spent the day working on the P51. Here are some pics of the landing gear setup on the wing. I got some great help from Henry! Thanks Henry! This just about does it for this wing half, so now I am on to the other side. Check out the pics, and if you see anything you think needs fixing, please let me know.
Thanks!
Lee

Here I made up some doublers for the ribs to try and beef up the whole landing gear section.

I then glued (30 min epoxy) them to the ribs, and added the blocks for the main gear.

I had nothing to put the wing on, so I had to build a new table.

I cut out the skins this morning, and put them together after I went to school this afternoon.

I think he is cheating and has little knolmes (SP) that build it when no one is around

Mike - November 19, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
So how about an update on that Mustang, Lee? :D

Justin P. - November 19, 2007 09:32 PM (GMT)
Mike,

The mustang has been out of comission for a long time! :(

I think he had an accident with it; I am not going to elaborate on it, because
I not sure what the whole story is.

And what I do know is a sad story. :(

That'd be gnomes, LT... (You still DO regularly attend regular school, right? Or do you just blow that flared pipe thingy of yours?...) <_<

Gnomes sort of look like you, except they are smaller and they all have beards like me, except longer!...
:D

Frits, let's keep to the scale aircraft discussion please, thank you.

P.S. did you ever see if you have an extra coroplast plane? :D

Well he has been busy with his robotics class, and work with his band has been taking most of his time. He will be working on it soon, I can firmly assure you there will be a day. He has a Venus II he will have finished in a hours worth the work or so, as well as a mystery project. Yet the P-51 will be done one day.

Frits,
As far as the gnomes go, I havent had a problem yet looking like one, and untill someone (of the female sort) tells me it is an issue, it will always be the same. Since I can say there have been numerous votes... Its all good. I recently saw a billboard off of highway 231 that said "Troy University, where the only thing higher than our GPA is our enthusiasm. Troy University, Good Enough" Now can college be considered regular school? It is all up for review... I call Mr. Reed to the floor.

Mike, I have probably 2 or 3 unused coroplast airframes I am willing to part with if you are still looking for one. If you ask nice I might give it to you. Let me know I will be in town wendsday through sunday morning.

Well now L.T., since I have been called to the floor.
Seems that Gnomes can be dirty little buggers.

Leave it to Alvin to turn something cute and cuddly into something dirty and insidious... :o

Where are you now, Mike? <_<

Mike - November 20, 2007 04:18 PM (GMT)
I've given up. This isn't my forum to moderate anyway. :D

Way back in my real younger days, instead of going to Troy, I spent some time on the Clark County Work Farm. (I was innocent by the way, not nearly good enough shot to take out all the T'ville street lights in just one Sat night)
After a hard day of ditch cleaning, they tried to teach us some usefull trades and and develope in us interests in things of the outside world.
I took a Ceramics Class and did very well, some of my originals like example above are for sale.

You don't say....

Man, if I get a coroplast plane I'm gonna need to find a motor for one. Anyone got a beat up .46 laying around? :)

And I want to learn more about this mystery project!
