Title: Tal has hit the Big Time!

Scott Godbee - May 8, 2006 04:27 AM (GMT)
Just wanted to share some great news.

Tal was commisioned as a field rep for Century Helicopters this weekend at the May Day Heli fun fly in Sulphur, La.

He definately dazzled the Century heads that were there, and the crowd was absolutely astounded, and could not believe that a gas heli could move like a 90 glow. Of 128 registered pilots, Tal was arguably one of the top 5 most impressive!

When Tal would walk out to the flight line, and start flying, the raspy sound of that gasser, and those blades pounding the air would get EVERYONES attention!

Some would land and watch from the flightline, and those in the pits would stop talking and turn around and just watch. Some grabbing their video cameras and recording his flight.

After each flight, it became common place for a group to gather around Tal and his heli and commend him on his flying, and to pick his brain on tips and tricks on set up.

The best part was when the Century entourage huddled around him, and asked him questions about a helicopter that THEY DESIGNED!!!!!

I was really proud to be there and experience this exciting time with him.

He will be apart of some exciting things to come in relation to the gasser line at Century!

Way to go buddy!!

Now excuse me while I go practice on the simulator!

This is some most wonderfull news to hear.

I know that Tal has been working very hard to get his flying to as high as possible a level for this event.
And the effort seems to have paid off.

Way to go Tal.
You will make a great Century Rep with the talent/skill and friendly relation with the people interested in Century products.

Don't reckon that Tal needs to hunt parts in my old Hawk junk box ever again like when he was just a newbie in his younger years. ;)

Flying Dutchman - May 8, 2006 01:51 PM (GMT)
Congratulations, Tal!

I knew you would get it. All your dedicated practice sessions have paid off.

And being the type of person that you are, I know that you won't ignore us common people at the south end of the flying field who occasionally need help with their heli efforts.

Espesially those of us who fly Century products, of course!

congrats, you the man. Does this mean now we all have to get rid of our Raptors and get only Century helicopters if we want you to help us with set up?

And a big thanks to Frits, regarding to the pic of me hyperlinked to my name on the pits report.

Of all the pictures, I am sure he has on hand of me, he COULD have posted , he picks the one where I look as if I am having some sort of gastric issue.

I don't look very GQ there.

Hey Scott, is that a turtle head or are you pinching a biscuit?

Tal - May 10, 2006 06:50 PM (GMT)
Hey SLAPPY. I did'nt get the whole heli, but I did get a pair of carbon fins from Paul that goes on the new FreeStyle. I guess he felt sorry for me with my no horizontal and big white vertical fin.

Slappy - May 10, 2006 07:08 PM (GMT)
LOL, I here ya, you dont really need any fins anyway, the virt. fin is just a support for your boom right?, lol

Later,
Jake

Tal - May 15, 2006 03:31 AM (GMT)
Slappy, this new horizontal fin makes it fly so much better. I haven't figured it out yet. Must be in the new shape...
