The symbol of Luathas is a turquoise hexagram or six-pointed geometric figure. Throughout history these hexagrams have commonly been aligned with the images of stars or celestial beings. I shall explore this possibility as well as decomposing this figure into its basic geometric figures representing relationships between the elements.
Luathas started out as a mortal being focusing on the basic elements which is the very being of every wizard. Research into the elements of Temuair became an obsession of Luathas. This intensive research composed a complicated relationship between each of his elements that he studied. The first four basic elements composed of the four corners of the hexagram: Srad, Athar, Creag, and Sal - each relationship showing the opposite of its element. He then mastered the relationship of these elements and thus became the first wizard in Danaan 1409. After Luathas ascended into a god, his eternal symbol became that of a celestial being: a shining green star in the night sky.
Many Danaan's later in the year Danaan 1703, a new element would be discovered: Darkness. This became a dark period in Temuair's history. Luathas, master of the relationships between the elements and knowledge could not grasp the concept of a free element... an element without an opposite; this threw Temuair into chaos. The celestial being would continue his research into the mysterious dark element to find its true opposite. In the year Danaan 3148, the final point of the star would be finalized, and the sixth element would be discovered: Light - true opposite of darkness.
This composes the nature of the symbol of Luathas. Luathas being a celestial star, most devoted to his elements shows the relationship of each point of the star to his elements of Temuair. Each corner point representing his basic elements and the northern and southern points representing the Light and Dark respectively. The symbol of Luathas represents the relationship of these elements and the celestial star of Luathas, the mortal being who became a god.

The Luathas Staff, holy relic of Luathas, was constructed as apart of the celestial being of Luathas. The final form of the staff was not always as it is. The initial staff began as an oak stick of Luathas and slowly formed through stages of time into its final celestial form we know today. We shall explore these stages of the staff and compare its form to other deities' creations.

Luathas, as a mortal being dedicated to only research, started his wizardly companion, his stick of oak, at a young age. As time continued on and he evolved, so would his staff. The first step through this evolutionary process would be his first two loves: Lore and Arcane Knowledge. These two ideas formed the two small dots of his staff. This was often not enough to sustain the staff... something needed to hold these ideas together. Later on in his age he would find this answer: Gnosis - Divine Knowledge. This was the concept that bound the two smaller ideas and would complete the staff of Luathas.

Still the staff that was created was not the staff that would be commonly known today. Much further into the years of Luathas he would understand Gramail, his ally's idea, well. Gnosis, above all, could not take sides between right and wrong, good or bad. Gnosis much like Law would become impartial to all. Gnosis in-itself was neither good nor evil and thus that concept was one that gave birth to a new shape for the staff. Two wavering pillars would appear on either side of the three fundamental ideas. These pillars represented the side of waver and illustrated that Gnosis would always stand between such impartial ideas... always in the middle, unwavering.

The final reconstruction of his staff includes the red gem supplying the foundation of the oak stick. The red gem is said to represent the mortal blood of Luathas after he ascended into a celestial deity of Temuair. The day Danaan touch Luathas's mind, a drop of his mortal blood fell from the stars into each ruby surrounding the outskirts of Rucesion. These rubies are then harvested, and thus created the holy foundation of the Staff which is of Luathas. This would be its final evolution and represents the staff we know today.

Intensely comparing each of the other deities staff to that of Luathas, we see each presents a gem of its own. I shall only compare the allies' deities to Luathas staff in this research. Analyzing Cail's staff we see a yellow amethyst, representing the earth and sun. This gem protects nature through dedication and meditation. Gramail's dark green emerald shows an eternal confliction between what is right or wrong, only needing to keep the status quo, always demanding order of life; Luathas's ruby is a combination of both of these. The only deity to be once mortal shares his mortal blood with his followers through the deep red ruby, respecting research and order but accepting the elements of nature. We also notice similarities between these staffs, such that the base foundation being a long pike of wood, simple but strong.

We once again notice the six distinct figures of the Luathas Staff: three dots, two pillars and the ruby. These six points have strong connections to the irregular hexagram which is Luathas's Symbol. Further connections to these six points may be found in the "Research of the Nature of Luathas Symbol" in another paper.
