My former guide on this was flawed in my understanding of how the Element of light worked, but also has 2 new elements come to our understanding since my last guide so here follows a slight expanded and corrected guide The knowledge of how elements work in combat, is the knowledge on which a wizard live and die. Every creature you encounter on Temuair will defended it self with one element or another, as well as it will attack with one or another. In the lower insight places this will often be the same element, but in places like the Cthonic remains it might differ. Every element will have a element to which it will loose, and one over which it will win. Here i will make a small walk-through on the 8 elements, know as Dubh, Deo, Srad, Athar, Creag, Sal, Nature and Metal more commenly known as Dark, Light (or "Holy"), Fire, Air, Earth, Water, Nature and Metal Srad(fire) will loose to Sal(Water), but defeat Athar(Air) and Nature Athar(Air) will loose to Srad(Fire) and Metal, but defeat Creag(Earth) Creag(Earth) will loose to Ather(Air) and Nature, but defeat Sal(Water) Sal(Water) will loose to Creag(Earth), but defeat Srad(Fire) and Metal Of the last 4 element, Dubh (Dark) and Deo (Light or "Holy") is less frequently encountered than the four elements prime elements while Nature and Metal is only encountered on Medenia Dubh(Dark), will when attacking defeat any other element, but will loose to Deo(Light or "Holy") when defending Deo(Light or "Holy") will, when attacking loose to all other elements, except Dubh(Dark) which it will Defeat. However when defending it will fend of all elements but Dubh(dark), which will penetrate it Nature will defeat Creag(Earth), but does little damage against Srad (Fire) Metal will defeat Athar(Air), but does little damage against Sal(Water) For an example a creature who defends with Sal, will take less damage from a Srad or Deo based spell but will get more damage from a Creag or Dubh based spell. Here is a rough table over how it works, the horizontal line will be the defending element and the vertical line will be the attacking element. * Dubh Srad Athar Creag Sal Deo Nature Metal Dubh -dmg +dmg +dmg +dmg +dmg +dmg +dmg +dmg Srad -dmg -dmg +dmg **** -dmg -dmg +dmg **** Athar -dmg -dmg -dmg +dmg **** -dmg **** -dmg Creag -dmg **** -dmg -dmg +dmg -dmg -dmg **** Sal -dmg +dmg **** -dmg -dmg -dmg **** +dmg Deo +dmg -dmg -dmg -dmg -dmg -dmg -dmg -dmg Nature -dmg -dmg **** +dmg **** -dmg -dmg **** Metal -dmg **** +dmg **** -dmg -dmg **** -dmg |
