Membership renewals are now overdue
Membership renewal for the club were due in June, if you did not receive your renewal form or know someone who would like to join please contact any member of the committee. A single membership will cost $25, while a family membership (two or more) will cost $35. The membership offers great incentives such as discounts at certain Fish Shops, a great quarterly magazine, and the ability to enter both the Wollongong AND Sydney Fish Auctions.


On the Menu
This month the Club Committee wish to hear from the members about what, if anything, they would like to change or improve in the club. The committee is contemplating changing the start time of meeting to 6.30pm, in order to increase membership. All members are urged to come along and be heard on the night.

The club is starting a series of talks on “The Other Cichlids from Africa”. This month the talk will be presented by Tony Moran and is going to cover Steatocranus casuarius and Steatocranus tinanti. Octobers talk will cover Pelvicachromis pulcher and Pelvicachromis subocellatus, and then in November, an overview on the Hemichromis species.


Outing/Bus Trip
With Ad Konings coming to Sydney on March 8th 2008, the club is going to organise a bus trip and needs numbers soon to book the bus. Names will be taken over the next few months so let us know if you wish to come along.

Also a few people have expressed an interest in attending the Canberra meetings. If you are interested in observing the proceedings of another club, or wish to make some more contacts please ask Peter for more information.
