ok...i've posted a cpl of times on here b4 about my 3 yr old male iguana zeus.
i know i ask some silly questions, but i've never had an iguana b4.
is it normal behavior to chase his tail?
He doesn't do it all the time, rarely even. BUTwhen he does, he'll chase his tail in circles, or even flip himself in a summersault to get to his tail, if and when he catches it, he nips it...leaves it alone and then will do it again.
That is a little odd, and I've never heard of it before. Is he shedding when he does it? Maybe he has an itch caused by shedding. Some lizards (particularly anoles) are known for eating their shedded skin.
